I love the grounds of the Shaker Museum! They are so peaceful and there is a lot to do around the area. I love visiting the museum and learning more about the history of the early life in America.

Really cool history experience, kind people and a spectacular chapel to tour. Do not miss this hidden gem, other buildings were really neat especially the barn and schoolhouse but the chapel was by far the best part. Highly recommend coming here!

Very cool and unique place to stay. Enjoyed wandering the museum.
The Enfield Shaker Museum site features 10 historic buildings on 21 acres of land, including the impressive Great Stone Dwelling and the ornate Mary Keane Chapel (built by the La Salette Catholic Brotherhood). The Museum offers permanent and rotating exhibits, guided or self-guided tour options, craft workshops and demonstrations, herb and community gardens, educational programming and events (like our "Grow your own Pharmacy" garden class), hiking trails and a Museum Gift Shop. The impressive six story Great Stone Dwelling is home to our overnight rooms. Each room has Shaker built-ins, reproduction Shaker furniture, private bathrooms and queen bed(s). Overnights include a free Museum tour and access to on-site hiking trails.
