Irving Oil

Gas Stations
Hours: Irving Oil is a well-established company with a long history dating back to 1924. It operates Canada’s largest refinery in Saint John, New Brunswick, and runs over 900 gas stations across Eastern Canada and New England. The company also owns Ireland’s only refinery in Whitegate and expanded into Ireland in 2019 by acquiring Top Oil, a major supplier of home heating oil, petrol, and diesel. Its European presence began in 2014 with an office in London and tankage in Amsterdam. Customer reviews highlight a mix of experiences. Some customers appreciate friendly staff and good service, especially noting a manager who is well-liked and a staff member who makes their visits enjoyable. Others mention the effort to provide breakfast sandwiches that start their day well and value the rewards card that offers discounts amid high gas prices. However, there are comments about staff being curt at times and the need for better training. Additionally, customers notice the station’s canopies that protect from rain, even when staff are working outdoors in bad weather. Overall, Irving Oil is recognized for its longstanding presence and efforts to serve customers, though some improvements in staff friendliness could enhance the experience.
