The people who work there are lovely but it’s been a huge problem that their driver cant deliver our mail. How can UPS and Amazon’s huge vehicles be able to get down our driveway to give us our packages but the mail carrier who drives a Jeep cant? It’s becoming a huge inconvenience to drive down the postal office almost. Every. Single. Day, to pick up mail. At one point we waited for the driver and they just passed our mail box.

I have been having my mail forwarded for the past 12 yrs to my winter address without a problem. Before I left in Sept. I filled out a card and was told by an employee that it was incorrect, so I filled out another one. After 8 weeks of not receiving any mail I called and was told that I had a stack of mail along with my PO Box rental bill and that my address had expired. How can I pay the bill when your holding it back there. I had to send another change of address card along with a check. Another 2 weeks went by and still no mail from them. I called again and finally spoke with someone who said the mail was still there but he would send it out immediately which he did. In that stack of mail were 2 months of bills and medical reports. I cannot believe after 12 yrs of changing my address that they did not know how to reach us. Very disappointed in the USPS in Gorham NH.

I have a post office box which I purchased to be able to get mail after regular hours which has been the case every other place I have lived. Call me crazy but I assumed that Access was a reason to get a box but guess what: this post office closes the entire building so you do not have access after hours. Now I am just like everyone else who does not have a box. When the placed is closed everything is closed. Silly me I thought the US Post Office service was one that gave post office box holders access after hours. Maybe Berlin did not get the message.

This place seems like a one man operation. The postal employee here was a little gruff (announced to the line he wouldn't stay a moment after the closing time), but ended up being very friendly and kind, helping us with our packages and working to give us the least expensive rate. I really appreciated his assistance and wish the people at bigger city post offices had the time or desire to be as helpful as he was.
