This place is the worst. They send my packages back when they are having a bad day. Yet they consistently put other people's mail in my box. Every time I'm in there, I overhear customers asking about lost medication, lost documents, packages. There are a couple really nice employees that work there and a couple bad seeds that hate people and should not work in customer service.

Messy, disorganized, no longer have recycling. Whole interior needs work, including peoples attitudes. PO box that I just paid for a month prior was closed after just a few days of not clearing out our box due to being gone.(no mail of our own, only junk mail that the post office will no loner recycle. Why? Laziness.) Needs to be shutdown, renovated, and new managemen hired.

Rarely do I have a problem receiving a package or a piece of mail, so I was confused when I had to track down a time sensitive document that had been sent from the state offices a month ago. I just got word back that the post office sent it back despite the PO box number and overall address being correct. If you have an important document being sent to you via mail, I do not suggest trusting this post office to successfully deliver it to you. I agree with the sentiment of others that this location needs direct intervention and training performed by a manager in order for it to be what it once was.

This is probably the worst post office I’ve ever seen in my life, the woman runs the post office, I guess she’s the postmaster I don’t know, I was gone for three weeks, and I checked my mail the day before I left, and she’s basically yelling at me, telling me that it’s been two months since I’ve checked my mail, she was so unbelievable, unprofessional and disgusting. I’ve never seen nothing like it in my life and I’m gonna do what I need to do to make sure the postmaster general gets this review along with many other details, not included in this review. This woman does not deserve to be called a postmaster. The whole place is in disarray the outside of the building the paints falling off they don’t let you throw away your third class mail anymore and when they did they never picked it, I’ve been using this post office for 25 years and it seems like the last six months it’s gone downhill and I’m assuming it’s because of this new woman that is in charge with a huge chip on her shoulder.

Really sad performance, utter incompetence. Less than 20% of deliveries actually show up without me having to chase them down, always late, usually damaged.

This place is HORRIBLE. I live on a rural private road. We have no mailbox. We now can only get our mail through ups or fedex. When we order packages with our physical address it winds up at the post office and gets immediately returned. Then we’re told to put the P.O. Box on line two address. 9 out of 10 times when I try this on EBay or something it will not ship still. Lots of people will then put the post office number after the zip code even if I ask the shipper not too. BUT the number is on the box, so you know they know it and can see it but they return it immediately again anyway. I literally can not stand this place and the staff there are not friendly and not helpful. The place usually looks like a dump as well. we have tried to contact the post master general for help and NO RESPONSE. What are we supposed to do? What a joke

What's going on with the Grantham PO? The lobby is eternally filthy, floors and carpets rarely cleaned, trash baskets overflow onto floor often as not, counter surfaces are dirty, paint is pulled from walls as a result of long since torn down posters and notices and sticky tape marks adorn many surfaces.Additionally, interior walls are very dirty and paint chipped. Outside parking areas sport many deep car wheel indentations which are safety hazards to the hundreds of daily customers.Further since January 1, 2022 staff appears to be a rotating carousel. There appears to be no stable assigned staff as in past dozen years. We have begun to experience parcels returned to vendor due to insufficient address ...although our box number and street number are present on the label as per senders. Other customers experience this, too.Staff try hard, but need more help. There seems to be no regular postmaster assigned to Grantham.Staff and customers are being let down by whoever the area manager is. TIME FOR AREA MANAGEMENT TO STEP UP ITS FAILING WAYS.

I am really disappointed by the new postmaster policy regarding parcels incoming to people who have their mailing address other than Grantham NH. The post office no longer keeps the parcels for addressee to pick them up, not a single minute. Postmaster forces people like me to rent mailboxes in the office. I consider this as racketeering and extortion. Moreover, if USPS render my Eastman address as "unknown", they are not supposed to sell postage rendering my "unknown" address, knowing that's is not "deliverable". This is a wire fraud and a federal offence.UPDATE: I have requested USPS to remove my Eastman address from USPS database, this way vendors will not be able to print shipping labels using USPS web services, hence vendors will use UPS instead. Just a tip for Amazon customers.

New guy is really rude and condescending. (Had plaid shirt on today) I wanted to cry after a short exchange with him. Please be kinder to the people in the community.

There are several addresses in Grantham that USPS does not deliver to. UPS and FedEx say they will, but often UPS will just drop the package at the Grantham Post Office. The USPS policy, as stated online and by the Grantham postal workers, is that any packages sent to the post office with a local undeliverable address (like the rental units in the nearby housing association) will be kept at the post office for pick up for 7 days; packages sent "General Delivery" will be kept for 30 days. I have at least 4 packages now that, per USPS' own tracking, were delivered to the post office and marked "return to sender" in less than 48 hours. The address with UPS was correct. The post office is well-aware of the longstanding issues with inconsistent package delivery to the housing association. This post office already refuses to deliver mail to over 600 households. Now, rather than following policy and allowing 7 days for post office pick-up, the Grantham post office treats all last-mile packages like a boomerang, immediately returning to sender, even when properly addressed. It is a huge disservice to residents who are already underserved by a town in which we pay taxes. The local office is in violation of its own policies. If the post office won't deliver, it could at least hold the packages, as advertised. Instead the post office employees are set on penalizing local renters, who are largely traveling nurses, substitute teachers, local graduate students ... people who cannot afford to buy housing. At best it is a violation of policy, at worst it is mail fraud by postal employees (depriving someone of property by deceitful or dishonest means).

Solid post office. Usually busy because half the town has PO Boxes but the crew is always friendly and accommodating.
