Writing this review to make all consumers aware of the dishonest practice of the pharmacy. I have used this pharmacy for the last 16 years and I have now moved all prescriptions elsewhere and I urge everyone to do so as well. The system for prescriptions defaults to the generic brand which in most cases is perfectly fine, however, there are some prescriptions that actually cost more in the generic brand. My 83 year old mother who Lives on SSI has COPD, she has been with Walgreens for 16 years as well. As we all know, prescriptions are costly especially when you need them monthly. My mother had called in her monthly script for her COPD, she usually pays $45, the system defaulted to the generic brand which was $66 MORE than the name brand, she has NEVER used the generic. I spoke to tech/pharmacist and they put a note in her chart not to convert to generic. Well wouldn't you know the very next month this happened again. I spoke with the tech/pharmacist and they stated that this is their system and that they called the prescribing physician to approve the generic! I asked if the tech/pharmacist told the prescribing physician that it was more money, she answered yes. I replied, so you actually called the physician knowing it was more money, told the physician it was, and got this approved? She replied yes again. So here it is Walgreens Pharmacy is deliberately charging their customers more, deliberately calling prescribing physicians to get them to sign off on more expensive medication. Times that by every script for every customer. The pharmacist NEVER called the prescribing physician. This was NEVER approved. Pretty sure that's illegal. If you are smart you will pull all your business from this Pharmacy.

I would not recommend anyone using this Walgreens! At least not the pharmacy department I don't know what there doing back there but they are obviously not doing there jobs! Was just released from the hospital prescriptions called in at 3 pm nurse was told I would be all set and to make it there before 6pm. Arrived at 5 pm to 20 people waiting in line countless people making it to the window and being turned away. Once I made it to the window and asked for my prescriptions. I was told they had none after I explained my situation and that I was with the nurse when said prescriptions where called and was told I would be all set if I made it there before 6pm. The person at the counter told me they were busy and that they probably were called in but they couldn't get to them because they were closing at 6pm?? Makes no gd sense I will never again count on or use any Walgreens for any prescriptions ever again! Stay away from this one especially!!

Unfortunately this pharmacy is no longer a good option. The previous (and fantastic) pharmacist retired about a year ago and boy can you tell! I've now had SEVERAL problems with getting my prescriptions filled. One time they texted me that it was ready to be picked up (after several days), but when I went to get it they hadn't even started preparing it. I said I'd wait for it, they finally gave it to me, I leave. About 15 minutes later I receive a call from the pharmacist asking if I could come back because they only filled half the prescription. What??? There have been a few more instances recently, but the current issue, is I placed a refill on Saturday that was supposed to be ready for pick up on Monday by 10am (giving them almost 2 days to fill it). Wednesday afternoon, system is saying still "in process" of being filled. I called to figure out what is going on with it. I've now been on hold for 2.5 hours and they're not answering the phone. Yes, you read that correctly... Two and half hours! It started by saying there were 3 callers ahead of me. I am now supposedly the next call. Obviously at this point I've concluded that they actually aren't answering the phone and the callers in front of me hung up. I'm now stuck because I can't transfer the prescription because it's supposedly "in process" of being filled, but I also don't have faith that they're going to fill it anytime soon. Please stay away from this pharmacy. It is obviously too overwhelmed or too incompetent. Either way you won't get your needed medicines.

They stopped compounding medicine and never told us leaving us without meds until we find another compounder. Very poor service, long lines at drive through, don't answer phones, basically the worst?

I would give a zero star review, but that is not an option. I have been going there for years, as they are 2 miles from my house, and I am too lazy to drive a few more miles to a better pharmacy. Many times products are labelled as "on sale", but when you get to the register, they charge full price - so you have to be careful. Shouldn't this all be computerized in this day and age. this morning I called to see if they do the PCR covid test. Message said 3 people in front of me. I assumed it would be on hold for maybe 10 minutes. It's now over an hour later and I still have 1 person in front of me. Really? Who the heck stays on the phone with a pharmacist for over 30 minutes? When I have a question I am off the phone in 30 seconds. I find it hard to believe that the pharmacist is really talking to some idiot customer for that long. This place SUCKS.

They have become the worst pharmacy to ever do business with. Excuse after excuse. It has gone completely down hill and should be closed.

Did the drive up Covid test, sitting in my vehicle ,the girl wearing a mask, at the drive thru behind the glass and concrete wall wanted me to put a mask on so that I could then remove it to do the Covid test. Makes zero, and I mean zero sense.

The place is always pretty dead but somehow it always takes 25 min to get rung up and get out of there. Yikes. Cashiers are soooo slow. You would think you could be in and out quickly here. Nope. You may have to wait for someone to even be at the desk and then when they get there, it's an hour ordeal to ring you up. Move faster. Oh yeah and did I mention I can get the same products at Walmart for easily HALF the price?! This place is the biggest ripoff
