We had lunch every day there for a week while we took a weaving class next door. We were never disappointed with the food and we looked forward to our daily visits. Everyone was so friendly and kind.

Parking: This is a very very small and cute town. Worth parking a little ways from the store and walking and enjoying the scenery.

Stopped in to buy a General but came out with lots of snacks and yummy treats. Nestled in the quaint Harrisville downtown this is a must stop next time you are cruising through Southern NH’s back roads.

We saw an episode on Chronicle about the town including the General Store and had to go. The reviews were spot on as everyone was super friendly and the egg salad sandwich and turkey roll up were excellent and very fresh. I'd go back soon for a breakfast sandwich that looked and smelled great.
Parking: We had no problem finding a place to park around 10:45 am

Was staying around the area for a wedding during their off season and so little to no cafes or restaurants were opened nearby. This general store/cafe was the only thing available for most of the wedding guests to pick up supplies and quick food. Although, they were a little backed up they were still very polite and were able to manage the chaos. I absolutely enjoyed the egg sandwich and crullers. All tasted very fresh!

The General Store is the heart of the Harrisville community, where people greet each other with warm welcomes, except for this one customer who never smiles. Friends gather for breakfast and lunch, cyclists stop for breaks, local business leaders meet, families stop in for special treats. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch until 2pm but their prepared foods are available into the afternoon. Stop by for a piece of afternoon pie, you won't regret it. In addition, fresh breads and locally sourced fruits and vegetables are also available. I am particularly fond of their breakfast sandwiches but by all accounts (that is, people who live in Harrisville), it's all delicious. The General Store encapsulates the way I feel when I visit Harrisville. It's a special place that I want to return to as soon as I can.
