“An amazing place in both scale and meticulous organization. Two floors with meandering corridors of books of every age. The place truly has a life of its own. It would take a lifetime to go through all of the books. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. One of the most unique book stores I've ever been to.”

“After a morning of skiing, I came to Warner in search of some famous cinnamon rolls. Sadly, that particular restaurant didn’t survive Covid. Happily, The Local has. I was alone and was greeted warmly and felt welcome. There was a great selection of beers and the server provided samples to help my decision. Evidently they are famous for their ‘egg rolls’ which change daily. I had the chicken BLT and they were amazing! Great flavor, nice crunch, not soggy at all. I had the Pastrami Trainwreck sandwich and they happily served it warm as I requested. Along with a side of onion rings, the portion was large and I happily had leftovers for dinner. This is the kind of place where you’d love to try everything at least once. The decor isn’t anything special; it definitely feels ‘local’, just as the name implies. I was glad to have wandered in for a delicious lunch and great hospitality.”

Great selection of books and games, along with cards for any occasion, gift wrap and toys. Amazing art gallery full of local artists goods and wares, not just paintings and drawings but woodworking and jewelry as well. Stop in whenever you can, if this shop doesn't brighten your day thats on you!”
