Wow! Talk about highway robbery from a banking institution! They charge $25 dollars to cash all checks. So bring a check under $25 and you cannot even cash it. I told teller that this fee is absolutely ridiculous. She said well then open an account. Talk about extortion. I really hope someone reaches out to me and explain this to me and makes it right.

I have now been to 3 different branches of bar harbor bank and have got the same from all 3, friendly smiles and very helpful staff. I was with Santander bank for years and they were absolutely horrible. It's so nice to have a good bank that I trust, I can't say enough good things about Bar Harbor bank.They are the best!!

Absolutely rude bank tellers, the company I work for does banking through this place so my paychecks are issued from them, they won't cash them here because I don't have an account?.. she rudely tells me this, then ignores me when I say my employer has the account here, then pushes to have me open an account, I already have a bank account elsewhere I don't need two.. what happened to honoring your own checks?
