Truffle fries had no truffle flavor at all. The menu was unexceptional. Turkey dinners were fine. Service was also good. Very convenient for staying in the hotel. Otherwise not worth a special trip.

We live locally and live this place for dinner when people are visiting on the weekend. Local places are just packed with visitors and if you make a reservation you are only competing for space with guests that are staying. Great food, great service and now I'm questioning why I'm giving this review as I want to be able to make that reservation. Thanks for the great meals last night!

Great stay! Staff were all friendly and accomodating. Special shout out to Doug and Meaghan! They were both friendly and knowledgeable. Meaghan even gave us pointers on wedding planning up in the White Mountains!

My husband and I stayed at the Eagle Mountain House during our recent NH trip. We were unable to book reservations for the dining room, but luckily was able to be served sitting at the bar. We were both starving, so we decided to start off with the Loaded Nachos and added the Beef and Chorizo Chili. We had plans to order entrees for dinner, but the nachos ended up being huge and filling - and delicious! After waiting a bit to digest, we ordered the Red Velvet Cake for dessert to share. Red velvet is my absolute favorite, and I have to say this one was high up my list - my husband doesn't care much for red velvet, but even he really enjoyed this one. Next time we're here I'd love to try an entree and definitely get the cake again!

Old, old fashioned, beautiful interior, beautiful virews, very clean, ample parking, very close to Mt. Washington Pinkam notch, if you want to hike up, auto road if you want to drive up (pricey), then there is the Cog Railway, if you want to ride up (also pricey).Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps, elevator.

Doug was the bartender and server for the tavern area and he did a great job. The food was delicious.

Although the food was good and the waiter great, I was very disappointed in the lack of consideration of people (us) who were eating, just being served, and the staff was cleaning up the tables to get ready to go home. There were candle holders on chairs, linens being taken off the tables as we ate, and a hostess enjoying dessert within our view. It happened to be our anniversary and I mentioned that in the reservation. Not sure why that question was asked. No mention of it when we had dinner. I'm not sure this would bother other people but it did me.

It was a unique experience eating on the porch as the sun went down. The table and chairs were adequate though not too comfortable. Our server was pressed to the limit but managed to nearly keep up with the patrons. The food was good, reasonably hot but not outstanding. The ambiance was probably worth the price.

The food was excellent! So good we are eating there again tonight. Unfortunately they are understaffed, like everywhere is now. The waiter did his best, but was obviously trying to take care of to many people!

We went during the day to scope out the place and we weren't that impressed, but we decided to try it anyway because of the decent rating. Long story short, so glad we went. It was amazing experience. It was definitely an older group and no kids in sight which was a nice difference from the other restaurants we've visited earlier. We were celebrating our anniversary and from the moment we got there, Chris our server acknowledged the occasion without me even opening my mouth. Offered us a nice complimentary glass of prosecco which was very welcomed. We didn't order an appetizer because we were full from earlier meals, so we ordered the beet and butternut squash salad to share, which was more than enough, and so delicious. I also ordered the maple old fashioned drink and my other half ordered the blood orange Cosmo. The old fashioned was the best one I've ever had. Simply amazing and delicious. I ordered the lamb shank and my lady ordered the braised short ribs. They're we cooked and presented perfectly. Nice and hot and so tasty! We were stuffed, so all we got afterwards was coffee, which was also delightful. I would have loved to get the peanut butter explosion for dessert, but I would have exploded. This was a complete grand slam homerun! Oh, and the bill only can't to $130. So worth it!

My guest and I were pleased with our meals and our server Issac was attentive and courteous- and while the foliage is just beginning to change, we enjoyed a beautiful mountain view. I did think the ambience could be enhanced by a single candle and flowers? Overall, it was an enjoyable evening.

It takes your GPS to find this lovely old Hotel/Restaurant. A nice place and the food was good but a limited menu. You don't really have to dress up here, nothing fancy. We had crab cakes and pot stickers to start. Both were good but the stickers could have had a spicier sauce. For mains we had Blackened Beef Tips and Chicken Piccata. The Beef Tips were wonderful, tender with a mildly sweet coating and french fries. The Chicken was large with summer vegetables and mashed potatoes. The ice cream Sundays for dessert filled out a lovely evening.

Stayed in the hotel went down for dinner, Ordered two drinks both were well made. I ordered the Lamb Shank and it was tender and tasty. My wife ordered the Tuscan chicken and it was flavorful. Nice size portions. We split a desert that was also good. Unfortunately we were on vacation so we do not live in the area to go again:(
