Paid $10 to expedite shipping and delivery date was supposed to be the next day. The delivery location is only an hour away. It was pretty important documents. Office that required them called and enquired about the document- it was just delivered today - almost a week later. Disappointing, frustrating, will definitely will take the drive if able then trust in post office.

In less than 6 months, multiple packages of mine have gone missing with no explanation while at this location. The packages were scanned as being received by the Jaffrey post office, but the staff were unable to locate them on the premises when I went to pick them up. One package they even admitted may have been given to another customer by mistake. When asked how this happened, the post office staff told me that "it's life, things happen, you need to accept that". The staff were not helpful in trying to resolve the matter and have still not located my missing package.

Packages showing up scanned as delivered, then arriving days later. Mail shows up at the neighbors' houses. Recently had mail arrive damaged beyond use. I'm looking at unpaid damages from multiple cases, but i pay taxes and actively buy stamps in support of the postal service. I feel bad the office can't do much of anything about these issues, but the industry is falling short at this point.

Our current mail carrier is phenomenal. Prior to them shaking things up & moving mail carriers around (again), our packages were routinely left outside in the rain or snow without a bag, or left hanging out of the box, wide open, just waiting for someone to drive by & snatch them easily. That mail carrier is still delivering mail because I've seen them driving around a mail truck & their route is obvious because they're still leaving mail boxes open with packages hanging out. But our current carrier is great, always puts packages in bags if it's raining or snowing, only puts what can fit in the mailbox, & never leaves it open with packages hanging out. That, & they're friendly, they don't complain non-stop about their job & their life like the other carrier did, constantly, when I'd help with packages.I stopped leaving outgoing mail in the box to be taken to the PO by the carrier back when we had a different person, because I did that with a bill once & it must have gotten lost in their truck & then found later because it took 6 weeks to get there. For years we've just taken everything over to the PO ourselves. That being said, the actual sorting of the mail is done by someone else at the post office, not by the carrier. We constantly have neighbor's mail sorted into ours. At least once/week. And this has been going on years before COVID. We've even gotten mail from different streets, towns, even states! One of the worst ones, though, was we received a credit card (we could feel it through the envelope) for a resident who has not lived at this address since 2004. Because it is a felony to interfere with correspondence, we would never dream of throwing someone else's mail in the trash. Plus, I mean, that's just rude! I wrote "refused - return to sender, resident has not lived at this address since 2004" on the envelope & we dropped it off at the PO. A few days later, it showed up back in our mail box. We brought it to the PO again. AGAIN, they sorted it back into our mail pile it arrived at our mailbox. We brought it back to them, this time with a note attached reminding them that it is a felony to interfere with communication, for example, throwing out someone else's mail, that this was not intended for us, it was obviously a credit card, & they needed to "return to sender" or, if they didn't care, they could throw it out themselves. These lovely folks removed the note & SENT IT BACK to us! Fortunately my husband was outside when the credit card was delivered to us, for a 4th time, & he brought it to the attention of the carrier, who took it with an apology, knew that the PO needed to return it to the sender, & off it went... finally! How do the people who work inside of the post office know less about their obligations & responsibilities in terms of handling correspondence than the person who puts the mail in the box...We really wonder how much of our mail just gets tossed in other's trash bins just because folks don't have patience for dealing with this place...Edit: for the last several years, we haven't received several important tax documents we need for me to do our taxes. No doubt, they're getting delivered to someone else, & they're throwing them out bc they're fed up, too. (Sure, I'm fed up, but how crappy that people are THROWING AWAY TAX DOCUMENTS bc they got delivered to their mailbox by mistake... That's not OUR fault, or theirs, but it is their RESPONSIBILITY to bring the correspondence to the PO... It's a felony to throw it out!)

The service by the Jaffrey PO has given me very little to complain about over the last 15+ years. Big thanks goes to all who do a great job in the office, as well as the current driver, who is exemplary.

I have always received good customer service at the post office. However, the carrier delivers mail a week late and shoves large mail items or packages in the box, so its hard to pull them out. Its Disappointing that I dont feel that I can depend on receiving my mail in a timely manner. I purchased a po box, in hopes that I have better results.

Just moved to Rindge and they were very friendly and helpful. They helped me with finding my mail and explaining very kindly that my carrier was at this location, though I live in Rindge.

How nice. My package came today wrapped in a plastic bag. Oh wait that was because the product had been broken and was leaking in the box. Thanks post office.

I wish I could rate it 0. Packages have either not been sent or there are cases where they refuse to serve others. They need to step it up, or step off.

Scans packages as delivered when they aren't. Is extremely rude and condescending to residents of the area trying to receive their packages and attempting to refuse to hand them over. When packages are delivered they are twisted and jammed in boxes in such away that the packing is torn and the contents damaged. John is extremely judgemental based on appearances and will refuse to hand over your packages if he doesn't like how you look.

Blatant discrimination from clerks and mail carriers. John, one of the clerks, denies service to people both in shipping and receiving their packages because of his judgmental, bigoted views. He shouldn't be working there, and this shouldn't be a recurring issue!

Rude employee named John refuses to hand over packages if he feels like being discriminatory. Scans in packages as delivered and then doesn't deliver them. Would give a zero if possible. Post Master might want to step up and do their job.
