So much so that you have the urge to pass on the experience you have had and hopefully it will benefit someone else, especially if they are on the cusp of making a large financial decision. My wife and I started our journey over 45 years ago in the jeweler’s district in Boston. We look back on that now and feel like we were prime to be taken advantage of, but luckily, we met an honest jeweler who spent time with us and explained the ins and outs of buying jewelry.
Fast forward to today and with all our knowledge the best thing we can offer is advise on where you can go to get honest appraisals, good backing of their product and they stand behind their product also. We have come to appreciate Kay’s professionalism, understanding and commitment to standing behind their product. Yes, I am talking about when a piece breaks and it needs to be fixed. If you buy their ESP (which I highly recommend) they will restore/repair or replace the piece that is broken. This alone will save you hundreds, if not thousands, depending on the piece that you purchased.
With all the above the icing on the cake is having a manager that develops a personal rapport with you and understands the “meaning” of the pieces of jewelry you have purchased and how much it means to the loved one you purchased it for. It is great when you find a company that stands behind their product but it is amazing when you find a person that not only stands behind their company but they stand behind, and support, you whenever something needs to be fixed, or resolved. For us that person is Hazel Famolare.
Our “inspections” have turned into an event that needs to be scheduled and Hazel always ensures that our pieces are checked and verified to not have any problems and if there is a problem it is taken care of quickly, professionally and courteously. We highly recommend Kay’s Jewelers, and Hazel, to everyone and if you are local we would recommend Kays right here in Keene NH.”
