I want to thank the staff at the store in Keene. They were very helpful with finding the items I needed. When they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, the store manager, Ej, showed me several other options of products that may work for me. He was right! Because of the time he took to show me these things, I not only didn't go elsewhere, I will be back for sure! I appreciate his help. Annie Gregoire

Great Customer Service - Keene NH/ Framing Recently my partner and I visited the Keene NH store and had a great experience in the framing department. We had a large piece of art work and both Angel and SJ did a great job giving us guidance on the frame. SJ took the time to work with us, creating images of the frames to give us an idea of what they would look like with the picture. Angel also interacted with us providing insight on different options. We are excited to receive the finished product this week and look forward to using their services again and again. I would highly recommend this staff and store for future framing services. Thanks p.s. my partner and I TEACH Customer Service and these to ladies get an A+++

Didn't realize I had dropped my wallet in the store. Went back and one of the managers had found it and locked it up for me. Thank you!! Honest people!

I used to like to shop in the Keene, NH store (being from the Brattleboro area...no more. I am a photographer, and regularly buy matting and framing supplies at Michaels, and occasionally take advantage of framing. I was in just a couple of weeks ago, and the items I needed were out of stock; when I found a few things I wanted, the prices were much higher than shown on the website. There wasn't ONE person to offer assistance, nobody answered the bell at the framing counter, not enough cashiers and a mile long line to check out. We will never return.

Over the last year, we've probably visited this Michaels location in Keene two dozen times with varying degrees of dissatisfaction. The stock may be good or it may not. The store doesn't seem to stock a great deal in the way of high-end items (like sterling silver chains). Seasonal transitions can deplete the shelves, but when they are filled, it can be a bit difficult to get a cart around some areas. That said, our biggest issue has to do with the store's staff, too many of whom don't know the stock or who are too under-staffed or too little concerned to offer much in the way of customer service. We've had to wait several times for a cashier to become available, and they are too busy to offer anything besides minimal assistance. The bottom line: yeah, it's a chain store, and it has its good points, but overall this Michaels could do with upgrading in stock and staff.

This afternoon I stopped into Michaels to buy some materials for a few packages I am sending out and have to say that the selection at this store was incredible. Their shelves were heavily packed with goods, but some aisles seemed to be over packed, and at times it was a bit anxiety provoking. After searching the store for the items that I needed I had to ask for assistance, but finding an employee was difficult, and I had to wait at the register until the cashier called someone. The wait time was fairly short, and once the employee arrived she was extremely helpful. This store had a great selection of clearance items and their seasonal selection was incredible as well. I also appreciated the fact that their wood working aisle was packed full of items unlike some other Michaels locations.

It's a chain store so you have to take some things with a grain of salt. For the most part the people who work here are polite if not friendly. My biggest issues with this location is how cramped everything is - they try to put too much in the store. I worked retail in high school so I know that there is supposed to be a 3' wide isle around every upright & down every isle for wheel chairs. At this location you can't even squeeze one of their little carts around without banging into an upright. That & it doesn't help that they set up the make & take workshops RIGHT in front of the door on the weekends, tables end-to-end, blocking several of the isles on one side. When customers stop at the make & take tables, they end up accidentally blocking the entryway. :- Kind of ridiculous!
