“What a difference one employee can make! I've been in Shaw's four or five times since I wrote my review and received the best customer service from an employee named Doreen. I couldn't find garam masala but Doreen, busy reshelving items, offered to take a look and found it. On a separate trip, Doreen also unearthed mint I really needed for a 4-ingredient Lebanese dish (so mint was really essential). She went to the storeroom and found the last box. In addition to this really great customer service, Shaw's is open late until 10 pm. When we had a sick kid who really wanted ice cream I remembered Shaw's extended hours from Yelp. I also discovered from the interface at checkout that Shaw's is in the same family as Safeway so my Safeway club card saved me a few dollars. Last, someone at corporate read my review and brightened up the atmosphere by piping in or increasing the volume on background music. I immediately noticed the difference. While pricing is a bit high, Shaw's has a more extensive meat and produce section, everything is very fresh. And, if time is tight and you don't have time or energy to shop around and your list includes something out of the mainstream, Shaw's hits the sweet spot. Now a fan- thanks for listening, Shaw's!”

“Have always had great interactions with the pharmacy staff who are always working hard. My only gripes about this CVS is not even their fault, drivers come through here thinking it a through way to the plaza and start blaring on their horns if the drive up pharmacy has more than one car blocking their “short cut.””

“I get all of my Pharmacy needs here. The pharmacy team is incredible. With all of the customers that come in and out, I am flattered they know me by first name and always ask how my spouse is.”

“I’m writing this review because I feel that they do there job extremely well should be recognized for the wonderful job that they do. I moved to NH in November of 2018. My medical insurance has a contact with Walgreens Pharmacy. I want to point out how hard it is to relocate to a new area and build new relationships. This pharmacy needs to be recognized for top service. The pharmacist always do there best to explain all medications clearly. More importantly there is a tech that works there. Her name is Amy. She does a great job. She always has a smile on her face and goes above and beyond to help me. I am a retired Veteran of the US Army. I am a private contractor for West Point Military Academy. Not with one company But I own 3 companies That have special security clearances to do business with them. I have been doing this contract work for West Point for more than 3 decades. This is not an easy thing to accomplish since 9/11. I have several employees. When I see my help work as hard as Amy under serious pressure because you know the phone never stops ringing there. Amy has serious talent. She multitasks very well under pressure and the best part about her is that she really cares for the customers. I, as an employer always recognize my super employees 2 ways. I always compensate them financially for there over and above work ethics and I do have employee of the month awards to thank them for representing my company in a very kind and professional manner. I’m really not sure if Walgreens has these incentives or not but I would personally compensate her financially and she gets my vote for employee of the year. Please don’t over look this post. Thanks, James Collishaw Sr. Fremont, NH.”

“Always an enjoyable experience whilevisiting this location. Staff does very well with keeping it clean and maintaining a professional standard. The younger blonde pharmacist is always happy to help me with any question I have whether it’s prescription related or just a general question I have for her.”

“I've never had a problem with anyone at the pharmacy, or in the store. Curtisy goes a long way, be respectful to people, and they will react the same. I think Bill Wilson had a bad day before going into the store. Everyone can't be first, and you can't blame the pharmacy for everything that goes wrong.”

“Best pharmacy in Amesbury and I've been to all the others in the area. Someone always acknowledges that your there, unlike the other places I've been to for prescriptions. Also you'll see the same people working there for years, whereas other places have new pharmacists and tech's coming and going. It's nice to not have to share personal information with a new pharmacists everytime you need a refill. What is now Walgreens has been Zeaks Furniture then Osco Drug, then Brooks Drug, then Rite Aid, now Walgreens and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm missing one more. I've seen several pharmacists and employees go through there. And CVS ... I won't even comment on that place.”

“I've used 2 other pharmacies and Walmart is def the cheapest. If you don't have health insurance ask them to give you the good rx discount. I have saved 100s by them using the good rx.”

“Did the drive up Covid test, sitting in my vehicle ,the girl wearing a mask, at the drive thru behind the glass and concrete wall wanted me to put a mask on so that I could then remove it to do the Covid test. Makes zero, and I mean zero sense.”

“Several of my family went for PCR Covid Tests needed at different times for travel. All got the results back the next day around 7pm. It seems that it doesn't matter when you go in for the test, the result becomes available next day around 7pm. The web site asked for insurance information, I didn't pay, not sure whether it'll be on insurance or not. I was worrying that I wouldn't be able to get the result in time for my travel, but I'd say the turnaround time is truly just 24 to 32 hours if you take the test on Monday to Thursday. The clerks and the website don't give out any promise when the result becomes available. But what a big relief that we all got our tests needed for traveling! Thanks Walgreens and Aegis Lab!”

“CVS at 75 State Street, Newburyport is head and shoulders above any other CVS I have visited, especially 13 Pond Street, Newburyport. Derrick, a pharmacist goes out of his way that customer service is top notch and he certainly leads by example!! Will never go anywhere else as long as Derrick continues to run the show!!”

“The two employees on staff tonight, a young man and an older gentleman, were both very patient, courteous, and accommodating when my preschooler was for some reason quite anxious about having his passport renewal picture taken. They put up with a lot from us- some tears, extra time, extra shots, you name it- with patience and good humor. Highly recommend these two employees in particular and this store in general.”

“I will say excellent friendly caring and helpful kind Associates both in the pharmacy and store ! Also my experience I was and always have been treated with respect in Rite Aid no matter how you're dressed or look or age or whom you're with! All Associates still Friendly caring how far fast and efficient! The store is also very clean and conveniently located! I must mention Rite Aid in Exeter is so much better to do business with than the Walgreens in Exeter! Trust me on that!”

“Very helpful and friendly pharmacy staff. They're closed on weekends, which can cause problems, and Walgreens' system as a whole can be a real headache when filling prescriptions. However, the service is otherwise efficient and very helpful. Any Walgreens customers coming from Hampstead will have a much easier time here.”

“I want to give a shout out to a pharmacist named Pride. She was working hard to priorize filling prescriptions alone lastnight. She went out of her way to call my insurance after closing so I can get my medication the next day. I thought it was so thoughtful because she didn't have to do that. Pride deserves 5 stars! Great asset to walgreens. Thank you Pride!”

“I was discharged from a hospital cardiac ward with the explicit instructions to start a heart arrhythmia medication. I called my usual pharmacy to see if they had my prescription. They told me they had but failed to inform me that they did not have the medication. I then called Hannaford Pharmacy in Hampstead and talked to Rachel Porter. She was more than helpful and was determined to fill my prescription. Thanks for the help. I am sure she would be as helpful to everyone.”

“Raymond NH is a small town so you get to know ALL of the staff very well which makes them more personable. More time to chat with the staff as well as the other customers.”

“This is the quietest store I have ever visited, think library-silent. I found an employee and asked where to find something and I felt like I was screaming. Her response was so low I could hardly hear her. Not busy Clean Well-stocked Conveniently located on a main road and a great stop for essentials Friendly employees Plenty of parking”
