Cook's Candy Kitchen is an awesome, cute little shop that transforms you back in time. It is a total blast from the past and a delicious combination of whimsy and nostalgia. The store has the best and sweetest selection of all different old-school candy, like rock candy pops, chocolates, fudge, maple products, and many unique candies. Much of the candy is made locally and is delicious, with great quality. The salted vanilla caramels are definitely worth the calories. It is a cute gift shoppe right on the main strip with a good selection of sweatshirts and apparel, which have a super cozy feel and decent variety. The pricing for souvenir hoodies is on the pricier end, but the quality is significantly better. The candy is reasonably priced and sold by the pound. The owner and ladies working there are friendly, wonderful, knowledgeable, and feel like family, providing wonderful service. The shop is a sweet little place that customers always return to when in town and definitely plan to visit again.

I love this place. It is a total blast from the past (ok, maybe not the prices!) but it is a delicious combination of whimsy and nostalgia. They even have a lot of the unique candies that were sold when I used to visit with my grandparents. Good selection of sweatshirts too - super cozy feel.

Sweet little shop, so are the ladies who helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Chocolates, pops, fudge and maple products. They even understand that gramps had to eat his Chocolate right there and then for his fear of it melting. We always return when in laconia. I hope they never close.
