We have stayed in the 2 room cottage for the past 3 years with our 2 children both under 7. The view is fantastic, the location cant be beat and the pool is great. The cottages are a bit dated and starting to show their age, but they are extremely clean and we had no issues at all with hot water in the shower or to wash dishes in the kitchen sink. I read some reviews with complaints regarding street noise from Tower street and Lakeside ave, those are absurd complaints. It cannot be controlled by the owners of the property nor should affect the review of the rental property. If you dont want to hear street noise you probably shouldn't be staying in a hotel right in the middle of one of the busiest areas of town. Anyway, I am looking forward to staying next year again with my family. Thanks for the great hospitality.

Be sure that you are aware before booking that if you at all have ANY problem (car breaking down, dog dying, sick kid, etc) within 9 days of your booking that causes you to have to cancel, you will be out $233 (or whatever your deposit was)! The manager was very sweet and I appreciated her response, but wow I can’t believe I spend almost $250 on a place I never saw and never will see because my car broke down on the side of the road. There is no grace given from the owners, so don’t expect any humanity to shine through in your time of need. If you have a perfect life, then this policy will not injure you, but if not, tread carefully.

It's a little old but there is a great view of weirs beach. You can walk to most of the attractions less than a block away.

Check was pleasant, women at the desk very nice , room clean and view very nice
Unfortunately after all that , back to the room after our night out
Desperately wanted a shower. No
Hot water
No Hot water the next morning. Finally getting ready to check out around 9:00
am and Hot Water showed
When reported to desk all I got was “ I’ll tell the guys”
So make sure it’s fixed for the next guest but as far as the paid check out guest,
We got paid who cares

What a sexy place. Instantly sexonified when i entered the room. The room was sexy clean and was what I expected for this motel's star rating. The view was ultimate sexy. Sexy boats. Sexy docks. Sexy sails. Sextacular access to the fun stuff below is so accessible and easy. Sexy 5 stars from me!

“I spent 2 nights here in a charming little cottage in October 2024. The host was incredibly kind. I had a parcel coming via USPS, but it was delayed by two days, and by the time it arrived, the hotel and office had already closed for the season. When I came back to pick it up, I found the parcel thoughtfully left for me at the front door. I really appreciate the kindness and generosity. If I get the chance to visit this area again, I’ll definitely stay here!”

Would absolutely 100% recommend the Half Moon!! The view is unbelievable!! An it doesn't matter what part you stay in you still get the view!!! Husband and i have stayed in all options there and you really cant get just an ok one!! The hotel part which i loved is the concrete walls!!It's right behind the strip so you can walk to everything!! Great people! Great atmosphere for Couples who want a little getaway too Families going on a summer vacation!!! Promise you will not regret!!

My husband and I had a great stay at the Half Moon Motel in a cottage while we went to the Dave Matthews Band shows at Bank NH Pavillion.
The bed was comfy, great water pressure in the shower, everything was clean and we loved sitting on the rocking chairs on our porch to enjoy the beautiful view. We didn't have time to use the pool but it also looked clean. The motel is also a less than 10 minute drive to the Bank NH Pavillion if you're attending any shows during your stay.
The staff here was so kind and welcoming, and being in walking distance to several restaurants, the Mount Washington Cruise, arcade, and Weirs Beach was so convenient. If you go here expecting a 5-star resort you will be disappointed, but if you want a comfortable, nice, conveniently located motel with great views and great people you will enjoy a wonderful stay, as we did!
We will definitely be back!

Lovely place! Perfect location, excellent views, lovely service, comfy bed and coach. The rooms could use a little bit of updating as the desk and chair felt a bit wobbly and the available outlets were a bit hard to get to but still a fantastic getaway location. Definitely going to come back for a future weekend escape

Loved our short stay at Half Moon. The location, in Laconia can't be beat, the staff were exceptionally accommodating, the room was very clean, good linens (walls a little thin, but our neighbors were quiet), and a nice pool.Nearby activities: Weirs Beach (with watercraft rentals), World's largest Arcade, Bank of NH Pavilion, White Mountains.Walkability: Walking distance to: beach, shops, restaurants, scenic train, Mt. Washington boat cruise.
