“I want to start by saying my mail carrier is amazing — always friendly and kind, and since I moved in last year, he has even given my dog, Katana, treats while on his route.
Recently, I had to put Katana down due to medical issues. She was 16 years old and I had her longer than I’ve had both my children, so this loss was incredibly difficult. Her cremated remains required a signature for delivery, but because I work overnights, I missed the delivery attempts and had to pick her up at the post office.
When I arrived, I was emotional and admittedly frustrated, which I regret. Despite this, the staff remained professional, patient, and compassionate. They knew exactly where her remains were, helped me quickly, and held onto her so she wouldn’t be returned to the sender. That meant more to me than I can express.
Thank you to everyone there for your kindness and professionalism — and I sincerely apologize for my behavior that day. You are all truly appreciated.”
“I moved to this area (Dalton) 21 years ago from Cambridge, Mass. What a difference! Every contact that I've had with employees in the Whitefield P.O. have been courteous, professional, friendly--completely satisfactory. I even gave a delivery person some brake fluid for her vehicle when she needed it on Dalton Mt. Great people, great service.”
