They are competent pharmacy staff. Unfortunately, despite feedback, no cleaning of new self checkin kiosk screens between patients, just hourly. There’s probably 20 clients touching the same screen in that hour. Great for germ transmission! At least provide purell. Stop contributing to disease. Lots of elderly users. Totally preventable.

Not that CVS is generally great but this may be the worst pharmacy on the planet. I've never once been able to pick up a prescription there with out them first making up a reason to refuse to provide it and then needing to make at least one return trip, sometimes several. I would gladly never come here again if my insurance didn't illegally force me to support this particular business.

I was raised to believe if there's nothing nice to say, keep it to myself. And generally, I do that very thing. However, when service is particularly bad, its only fair to let others know so they may avoid the same experiences.
With that said, I joined CVS in 2024, the month of Spetember. Today was my very last day entering CVS @ Plainfield Rd. It's been a living nightmare. Watch your money because I was robbed of over 100.00 because they said there was a problem with my insurance. Not so. And I am livid.

This is my usual CVS, the staff are generally fairly friendly.
Today was not a good day, which was compounded by the 20 something year-old pharmacy technician/cashier with rainbow bangs, tie-dye, and facial piercings yelling at me that I was the sixth person that week to yell at her, almost crying, and then complaining about me to the customer behind her. I will be the first to admit that I wasn’t being my most friendly self and was speaking in a very direct manner without raising my voice. However, the behavior of this staff member was beyond unprofessional, and me asking if they can expedite the (what is usually one but today was) four pills that I needed not only is reasonable, but has been done by other CVS branches. With everything else I had going on today I was barely keeping it together, and this staff members behavior just pushed me over the edge.
Generally, a day that someone is needing to pick a medication up from the pharmacy is not a great day. As someone who works in healthcare I understand that when I come to work I put my own issues aside and meet the patient where they are emotionally. If this person is going to work in a position where they need to interact with patients/customers they need be less reactive. I been physically and verbally assaulted by patients and had more decorum and empathy than this staff member.
Also, if you’ve been “yelled at” 6 times this week and are “always the one to get the angry customers” maybe consider that either you, or your perception of the situation may be the issue.

They have now come through for us on last minute, urgent requests 2x and I'm grateful. They are responsive and quick to return calls. Last voicemail I left, I received a call back within 10 minutes - right before their lunch break, at that. Thank you to this great team.

This pharmacy has definitely improved. They are much more helpful and friendlier . There was even a pharmacist is there that saved me about $100 on a prescription. And she didn't have to.

James, the pharmacist, was the most pleasant, courteous, and helpful person. The Staff that returned a phone call, whom I thanked, lacks in their Public Relations.
