I walked in 10 minutes before closing just before a holiday. I was met with a smile and the gentleman was very polite and helpful. He took the time to show my 3 yr old probably the most incredible remote train village I have ever seen. They were definitely more interested in making a little boy happy, than selling me anything. I will always buy anything building related from them going forward!! I will also tell anyone that will listen to go there.

Wonderful store, helpful staff, low prices, and wide array of product selection for constructing high-performance buildings in our cold climate as well as excavation and general dirt work supplies. I used to go to Fogg’s and LaValley’s at similar frequencies. I am done with Fogg’s! LaValley’s is now the only locally-owned reputable supplier left to serve the upper valley. Their prices on most construction supplies are 20-30% cheaper than Fogg’s or Home Depot which is needed relief in this period of high inflation.

Good selection, horrible customer service. We have tried to support this local building supply store time and time again over the years but it’s not worth it. The employees are extremely rude and unhelpful, and management defends their behavior. Don’t waste your time and money.

Worst service I have ever had in a store. First person I asked for help went on to help someone else instead of me. Second person got very nasty with me and started yelling at me. Left the store without purchasing anything. Won't be going back if I can help it. If I could give them less than one star, I would. Too bad, because I used to think they were an okay store. What ever happened to courtesy to the customer?

Three days late on delivery, disrespectful when I called to inquire about delivery, did no get any in store service when shopping and left after an hour and a half. I will not be doing any more business with Lavalleys. Harold would never treats customer like this

Sadly I have to post a negative review. Picked out a counter top and a backslash. Waited patiently for a month for a quote after being told several time that it would be a few days. Called them… zero follow up. Called again… zero follow up. Called the president of the company… zero follow up. Not only do we need to finish our kitchen we also have two bathrooms to re-do. I will never consider LaValley’s again.Very disappointing customer service as there was no customer service.

We have dealt with an order for cabinets in our kitchen over the last three months. We had to send back the whole original order due to damage and poor construction. We were up sold a different cabinet brand and have also had to send some of those cabinets back for the same reasons.The cause has been a combination of their delivery person not taking care when loading and unloading as well as the cabinets not being put together very well. We were told the cabinets sent back a second time we’re “ready”. They were not. In fact they looked as though they had been collecting dirt and had not been taken care of at all let alone repaired. The rep at the store has not been helpful. We originally planned to order other items from LaValleys to finish the project (counter top, sink, etc.) but will look at another store to do so.

Barely got a response week after week while ordering a storm door, coordination was difficult and I had to call almost every time to ensure I got the product. Later, when I called about not receiving reimbursement for other wood I returned (delivered in poor quality, wrong size), the person I spoke with on the phone got aggressive with me immediately. Bad on multiple levels. Would not recommend.

I wrote a review last wk about the designer they sent out now that I got my price for my cabinets I asked the designer to change the brand of cabinet she came back with, the cabinets you chose are very expensive and you have a lot of cabinets so we can omit some cabinets.. So instead of saying ok I will send you an estimate on a cheaper cabinet she came back with that.. $ 29.000 for cabinets.. I have to say that royally pissed me off'
