3rd choice of car rental places. Rented a luxury car for a business trip. Reeked of smoke, transmission slipped and brakes were at 25%. No recourse from customer service either at local branch or online. Never again.

If I could give zero stars I would. The rental broke down 2 hours into our trip, leaving us stranded at 2 am with my children. Was told to get a hotel and I would be reimbursed. Had to call around to different locations to find a replacement. Then had to fight to get refunded because the rep I spoke too didn’t notate. I went with Avis because it was a cheaper option and you get what you pay for! If you want to be stranded on the side of the highway and be thrown 10 hours off schedule I highly recommend them. If you would prefer a safe and easy trip go elsewhere.

I booked a rental with avis and I am so happy I did. This location is awesome ? ? ?. My son loved this car and I did also. Thank you for a great rental experience.

The vehicle was unsafe had very bald tires. Was told it was fine. This vehicle was completely unsafe to be on the road and we were sliding everywhere. The vehicle wasn't clean at all was dirty inside and out. Even had things inside left from the previous people. The vehicle had lots of damage to it also. The vehicle was blocked in by other vehicles I had to squeeze in just to move it out of the spot they shoved it in. The staff was not friendly at all either, very rude. I was even asked to show 2 proofs of identification along with my major credit card. Every time I have ever rented just id and credit card. I also paid for the insurance through the third party and yet still was required to use my own personal insurance. What was the point of the insurance offered and paid for if I couldn't use it. We ended up having to to return the first vehicle and get another one which was a whole process to do. Huge waste of time. The road side assistance however was helpful as they could be. They kept calling the location and nobody answered. We had to drive all the back to the location a good distance in an unsafe vehicle not knowing if another would be available. We ended up having to change our plans on our family vacation which was very upsetting. I was told someone would reach out to us regarding the unsafe vehicle that we were given to drive my family around. Still haven't received a call it's been 3 days. Overall horrible experience.

Loved being rented a car with an expired registration and expired tags. Being pulled over in TWO states was lots of fun...not. After reading the below reviews, it seems like Manchester, NH has no desire to Do Their Jobs!

Rental cars from Avis Car Rental be aware!We rented a truck when soon that we arrived at the airport.We did what we supposed to do.Rented with full cover insurance and +Also we did what I’m sure everyone does when renting in Bonaire we video the entire car.When we returned the truck they pointed a scratch.This would be a no issue since we have full coverage right?Not really!The scratch didn’t show in the video that we make it just because the scratch was UNDER the front bumper.Literally you have to go down on your knees to check that.Who does that!Well but any way we have full coverage so this will cover for that!Well no does not!To be cover on your insurance you have to call the police when this happened.How I supposed to call the police if we didn’t knew about the scratch until the moment of the return?And also the documents that they give to you on the rental DOES NOT have this information to call the police to make a report.Three things called our attention:1)On the return the person when straight under the car to start the check process.Again who does that!2)Why in the documents doesn’t have the statement to call the police to make a report?3)When they found out that we have Federal Agents on the group things changed.Be aware people!Scams comes in many forms!

Great experience with Avis!! Online registration was easy. Pickup was easy and quick!! Received an upgraded vehicle at no cost. Vehicle was in great condition with low mileage. Return was quick and easy!!

Staff and car were great, but if you pre-pay and turn the car in early, you will still pay full price! Turned my car in 19 hours early-was still billed full time price! No recourse-bad business!

My husband and I had the best experience with your staff! Korey and I want to say her name started with a “V”were absolutely amazing! They gave us a card with their names on it but I misplaced it in our travels! So please forgive me for not getting the name correct! Anyway, their customer service skills far exceeded our expectations! Each one of them made sure our experience was memorable and unique. So thank you to both of those two lovely, kind people for going out of their way to see that we had a memorable experience and had a car with Apple Car Play so we didn’t get lost on our travel. We appreciate both of you more than you will know

Felt rushed by staff.Unsuitable vehicle. Huge 3 row SUV for 2 seniorsNot given requested category of vehicleVehicle filthy internally & dirty externally."Urgent service needed" message flashing on starting engine.Navigation & entertainment inoperable.Sullen, unresponsive staff at drop off.We'll never use Avis again.

This rental was at the Manchester, NH, airport facility.The tire pressure monitoring system showed a low tire warning the entire time I had the car. There was nobody in the rental garage to address my concern over the TPMS warning at the time I went to the car - I would have had to have gone all the way back into the counter to ask about it. Furthermore, when I was originally at the counter, I was told I could either have this car (a Honda Accord), or a Dodge Charger - I knew I did not want the Charger, so I did not go back to the counter.I stopped at the first gas station after I left the airport to check the tire pressure - I had to pay $2 to use the air machine, and if anything, the tires showed that they were over-inflated.The car was not cleaned properly. The inside of the windows were filthy - the windshield had so much of a film on it that it was dangerous when trying to drive into the sun. I had to make do with the napkins I happened to have to clean it myself as best I could.The windshield wipers needed to be replaced. We ran into a heavy rain on the last day, and it was almost better to not use the wipers, because they would not clean the water off of the windshield. It was really a dangerous situation.There was a spot on the back seat that looked like a coffee or soda spill - I have no idea if Avis ever attempted to clean it.The car 60K miles on it, and it ran and handled well. Had Avis done some basic cleaning and maintenance, especially for safety issues like the windshield and wipers, it would have been a fine rental.I am an Avis Preferred member, but over the past year or so, I seem to be getting cars that have one issue or another.

Reserved a Ford Transit van and instead received a beat up old Chevy Express Van with 75K miles on it. I reserved through Costco Travel so expected excellent service. The van was all scratched up along the sides with dents. The tires were bald and when I started driving it there was severe vibration in the steering wheel probably due to misalignment. Also the right rear tailgate, brake light, and directional signal light was intermittent and would most times not work. This vehicle was not safe to drive and never should have been rented. Horrible experience the poor ride made my passengers sick.

There is no place for you to park your vehicle when going in to pick up the rental. Also, if you have an additional driver, you still have to wait in line anyway as you are unable to add the additional driver in the original reservation online so there’s no sense in getting a fast pass because you’re going to have to wait in line to add them anyway , please be sure to check your vehicle. Mine was absolutely filthy both inside and outside.
