Vertical Dreams is a calm, quiet, and well-maintained climbing gym. It is not a super huge place and is described as a really small gym, with some rocks on the walls noted as worn. Locating the business can be difficult, with a lack of outside signage making it hard to find; the first visit is like a puzzle. The website and Facebook are awful, making it feel difficult to find information about deals, deal days, or events like a ladies night. The gym features an incredible and addictive bouldering area with a good size bouldering section. A standout feature is the cool tunnel tower and elevator shaft to climb, which receives big love. There are two self-belay or autobelay stations for those without a partner. However, the tape system for routes can be tough to read, understand, and annoying compared to other gyms. The staff is consistently described as amazing, kind, patient, welcoming, friendly, and helpful to all skill levels. The people who climb there are also hella nice. Rentals for shoes, harnesses, and chalk bags are available at great prices. The rate is for an all-day pass, not by the hour, though some feel rates could be better for parents with kids, suggesting a family pass. The gym does not limit based on age but by ability, making it family-friendly. Despite some shortcomings, many climbers absolutely adore it, find it absolutely amazing, and plan to return.
My 4-year old had a wonderful first time rock climbing! The staff was super friendly and taught us how to hook him up to the auto-belay, as well as showed him the best way to use the bouldering walls. The other climbers were also super support full and giving advice as he climbed along. We will definitely be back!

This is a great place. A little tough to find once we parked, but we called and they guided us right to it. My kids 9, 10, and 10 had a blast. We needed to take a 30 minute class to learn how to belay(sp?) the kids. We will be back. It was really cool. A great way to be active indoors.
