Visited today and was a bit alarmed at the prices. I see other reviews where they want folks to be aware that it's consignment and not a thrift store. So just posting that they have a nice variety and friendly staff but caution folks to not expect thrift store prices.

This store is wonderful, has lots of variety, fair prices with sometimes newer items, and has been in Meredith for a long time!! Anyone who doesn't know that (review 2 weeks ago below) knows nothing about the town.

This shop is way over priced! They are literally charging more for used items than you would pay brand new. I found a pair of Cat & Jack leggings (Target brand) in the toddler section, priced at $6.95, brand new they are $5 at Target! My son found a Stormtrooper figurine, it was very used and had scratches and marks all over it, they wanted $10 for it, at a yard sale it might have sold for $2 tops. Kids Halloween Marvel Black Panther costume, little boys size, priced at $17.95!! I saw the exact same one at Walmart at Halloween, brand new for $15. I was shocked that a store selling used items would actually price things for higher than retail, brand new. The store should do a bit more research on pricing before setting items out.

Overall a very nice place to look around. Consignment side is that alot of items are extremely expensive. I have seen most items their in store and online brand new for much less. Plus Consignment items price should match the quality of product. I understand if it's very old. But things that have been out less than 20 years and that are in rough condition shouldn't be pricey. Don't expect top dollar for items you want sold as they won't be sold easily. Bargaining seems to be a no go.

This place has everything! I found a everything I wanted, and all for very good prices. People complaining about prices being high must want something for nothing. Everything I bought was good quality, in good condition, and for much less than retail price. One of the ladies at the consignment desk was a little snappy. Lord knows why she thought she needed to butt in our private conversation, but I just shined it on.

This is my favorite consignment shop! I am also a reseller and understand the challenge that some customers do not understand the difference between thrift, resale and consignment. Consignment is very, very laborious and gives individuals an opportunity to sell their items in a physical store. The overhead is expensive. The items at The Ect Shoppe are gorgeous. They represent the best of past season and designer fashion. The staff is so lovely but pulled by so many questions and they manage it beautifully. I have found some seriously amazing prices based on my knowledge of resale value. Opinions vary but my appreciation of what they do hasn’t. The Ect Shoppe is excellent. Everything was over priced. I’m new to the area and was looking for some cheap things. Sets of plates and bowls are $75 dollars. Tried to offer $20 on a $25 statue and got denied. If im thrifting I’ll go to an actual thrift shop
