We had an amazing experience during our recent stay at The Nutmeg Inn! Kevin and Karen were excellent hosts, and the breakfast was A++. The room was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the sitting room and playing scrabble in front of the fireplace. We definitely will be returning again in a couple months.

So many beautiful details! My husband and I stayed the night after visiting FunSpot, and we felt as if we were back in a time when fine woodwork and hand-carved furniture were appreciated. Our cozy bed had a wonderful hand-stitched cotton quilt on top, and there was no shortage of interesting decorations. Kevin and Karen even accommodated us by offering a breakfast that fit my husband's dietary needs. Lovely home and lovely hosts!!

We stayed a few years ago but not sure we reviewed. This is a wonderful place. Beautiful home, great hosts and great food. We have stayed at many B&B's in US, Ireland, Scotland and England. Nutmeg Inn is one of our all time favorites. We have lovely memories of our stay and if we are ever in the NE again would stay again.

This quaint, old style and beautifully maintained heritage property is possibly one of the best B&B places to stay in NH regionKevin & Karen own and run this place as a labour of love and caring. The beautifully decorated and maintained common areas which include a sitting room with a fireplace, a TV room, a pool room, dining spaces and landscaped lawns, are so comforting and relaxing.Kevin and Karen are caring and efficient hosts and make you feel at ease. The breakfast prepared and served by the two of them is sumptuous and tasty and helps one to get a head start for the day.Tea and coffee service is available all through the day and in the evening Kevin lights up a fire in the sitting room. It feels so relaxing to sit by the fireside and have a cup of tea/coffee or a glass of wine (your own bottle) and soak in the warmth of the place.Outside the house there are beautifully manicured lawns and lovely trees and flowering plants. We had nice walks around the property and Kevin had guided us to take a few paths nearby, where we had an awesome experience of the fall foliage and stunning views of the mountains nearby. On one of the evenings, Kevin had put up a bonfire in the adjacent lawns and we spent some great time around the fire and chatting with few folks. The fall colors were becoming much more intense towards the end of our stay which really delighted us as we had made this trip to NH to soak in the beautiful fall colors. We stayed here for 5 nights and could visit a few places nearby in Meredith and Plymouth by booking some local taxis, which I must warn you are not easy to get by in these areas so I would strongly recommend that you bring your own car.We were bowled over by Karen and Kevin's hospitality and the town of Meredith and wished we could stay for some more days.Strongly recommended!

Amazing experience for a quick getaway. The hosts are very attentive and allow the guests to enjoy their stay at their leisure at the same time. The Inn had a great historical feel while still providing excellent amenities like a firepit, pool and great game room! Can't wait for our next visit.

I spent the past weekend at the Nutmeg Inn. Previous to my arrival I received a call from Kevin to inform early check in was no problem and provided instructs on how to enter in case he or his wife (Karen) were out. This was very courteous and the first indication of how friendly both Karen and Kevin are, they are great. The Inn itself is a very old home which is well preserved and decor was reflective of its heritage. Very warm and friendly much like the hosts. There is a cozy front room with a large fireplace which was so nice and relaxing. Also a game room with billiards and shuffleboard. The breakfast was served at various available seats throughout the first floor and was very nice. The bedroom although on the smaller side was also very nice in both décor and comfort. It would have been a perfect 5 star for me except there was a fireplace in the room with a provided duraflame log. Unfortunately on this given night with temps hovering at zero degrees the duraflame couldn't contend with the freezing downdraft so smoke backed it the room setting off the smoke detectors. It took two hours to clear that up. That was a freak happening and does not stop me from highly recommending this Inn.

The Nutmeg Inn is a beautiful, cozy, historic, and well-managed gem in the Lakes region of New Hampshire. The owners (Kevin and Karen) welcomed and assisted us with all aspects of our stay. The evening conversations around the fireplace were delightful as was the homemade breakfasts and other amenities. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend the Nutmeg Inn when you visit the area.

My husband surprised me with a stay at The Nutmeg Inn which was amazing to begin with but it was an extra treat to stay somewhere so nice and with the most wonderful hosts Karen and Kevin! The inn itself is beautiful and full of rich history. We stayed in the clove room and thoroughly enjoyed its working fireplace on a cold winter night.Karen and Kevin were so welcoming and kind. Breakfast was homemade and yummy. All the little touches they offered were so comforting and charming. Can’t say enough wonderful things!
