Like most larger companies, they pretend to care to make money and will lie just like the big banks you try to get away from. Companies who handle money, are not doing it to be nice. They want your money any way they can get it

I opened a checking account with $10 a few years ago because I financed a vehicle through them and wanted to make payments online and check the balance of the loan. Their website is terrible and will not let you make payments directly through them unless they are your primary bank. If not, you have to route it through your primary bank. I gave up after several attempts to make an online payment trying to route through my primary bank. No dice. The real reason behind this is they want you to use them for your primary banking, not just for a 40K auto loan. Lesson learned.I went to close my checking account today and was informed my account has been closed due to inactivity. To top that off, they also charged me two times a $5 inactivity charge, essentially stealing my $10 that was in the account. They did this and closed the account without notifying me. They also keep sending me spam mail about life insurance, even though they closed my account and I'm no longer a member. I will never use them again for any sort of banking, including auto financing. I buy a new car every few years, and I'll gladly pay higher interest elsewhere where you can actually make a payment online without them being your primary bank. They are the worst bank I have ever dealt with. TL;DRIf you are thinking of using these crooks for auto financing, be prepared to use them as your primary bank, or do not open other accounts unless you plan to continually dump money into them. If they sense they are not your primary banking institution, they will charge you inactivity fees and essentially steal your money out of the account without your knowledge.Lesson learned, never again.

11 yrs ago I left one of those big banks (The Most Convenient one) which was killing me with fees and very impersonal services. I was getting charged fees BECAUSE of fees. I switched to St. Mary's and have been happy with them ever since. Very fair, reasonable and personal. Always had a positive experiences with the people at this location.

Twice I have gone into this branch for usual bank dealings. Twice I was told I would be given a call back AND NEVER HEARD from them.. A loan I was approved for at this branch I was told I was not and only found out 2 months later through the branch manager. Poor communication and no interest in helping the customer past a face to face visit.. No follow up help. Very unsatisfied with this branch and bank in general.

I had 2 passport savings for my kids with about $90 each. They closed them and took the $ claiming abandoned property. The manager never even had the courtesy to return my call. Never again.

No need to wait for member services for over an hour on the phone for their incompetent new technology! Can't even imagine!

I was a Bank of America client for years for both business and personal use. They are terrible! Endless fees. What a breath of fresh air St. Marys Bank is! I love these people! Simple services with no hidden fees, and employees who are knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful. This is without doubt the best bank I have ever used in my entire life!
