“The word “bank” just doesn’t mean what it used to. I, for one, have had enough of the big corporate giants. So, I picked up the phone and called Millyard Bank and to my surprise, an actual person answered. One week later, I’ve opened an account, and I couldn’t be happier. Turns out, we do have a real bank right here in our community.
Luke was the one who helped us, an efficient, professional, and genuinely helpful person. Millyard is FDIC insured and truly local. No more corporate smoke and mirrors. I’m in. Just wish I’d made that call years ago.”

“I’ve been periodically using this branch for over 7 years now because it’s closest to me and I pass by it regularly.
Ive never had any issues with parking, or using the ATM, as others have mentioned.
There are times when it seems like there’s a plethora of staff (almost in excess), and times when it’s the bare minimum. Regardless, at any given time Ive always been treated with respect and courtesy.
Some days the line has been 3-6 people deep, but as of late whenever Ive gone in there haven’t been many people waiting.
Ive never made an appointment to speak to anyone about my accounts, etc so I cannot comment on that.”
“I'm fairly new to Bar Harbor Bank and Trust. Its been less than 2 yrs since opening my first acct here. I will definitely agree with the last post saying how far out of their way the bank employees will go to help, regardless of the situation your in. I was in GA, my car died, needed to buy a new one. Called the branch, they sent me a check, OVERNIGHT, and didn't even charge me for the extra fees. That's just one of SEVERAL scenarios in which they have gone above and beyond. Anytime banking comes up in day to day conversation, I recommend Bar Harbor B an T to anyone willing to listen!”
