Great staff helped us choose a cocker spaniel who had lost his owner and needed a new permanent home. "Leo" was perfect for us and is living happily ever after.

They have healthy animals and an excellent screen process so pets go only to homes that can take care of them.

Once upon a time they asked for a donation. Now they have a set price. Cats older than 7 are $150 younger than 7 $200. So they had 4 cats 3 were 14,17&18. On deathbed. 1 under 7 4yrs old. I didn't ask about the puppies or 6 rabbits out in hall. It's a shame for the animals who don't get adopted and for the ppl who want a pet to love but don't have $200 . is this really what helping homeless animals has come to. SHAME ON THEM. Please write something if u agree. This needs to be changed.Jan 2024,After reading more reviews from frustrated people I had to let these people know that with the reviews from unhappy people telling how they seem to choose who gets the ok to adopt and then make people uncomfortable and less of a worthy person when refused an animal. We want to love a homeless pet and find ourselves standing up before the judge and jury. It's so wrong to intimidate as you do. How is your attitude helping these needy animals. Shame on you

Doug and his staff are wonderful! I adopted my precious "Pinkles" here, and she is my best friend! We both love to drive around in my Volkswagen Beetle singing "Staying Alive" while munching on flip chips and seasoned pig ears. Her breath wreaks, but thanks to The Humane Society of Greater Nashua, I have a BEST friend for the next 5-9 years.

It was an excellent experience, in our adoption process we were accompanied by Erika, a very good girl, patient and very kind, we are very happy with our little puppy.????

i've seen many comments about the manager becky and how many have also had a poor experience with her. becky is the director of animal care here, she is AWFUL! she has ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS!!!!! she is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and has little/no people skills. do not get into a job like this if you can't do customer service, i couldn't believe how i was being treated, i hope the animals are not treated the same way. she needs a serious reality check, so incredibly rude!

Shame on you! My 79 year old grandmother went in looking for a cat and not only was the customer service she received terrible, but one of the employees called her rude to her face. I, myself, know my grandmother can be a little feisty at times but she would never purposefully be rude to a stranger. I am outraged. What a way to treat a potential customer. Very professional if you ask me…NOT!

My mother in law went to get a female guinea pig, and the licensed veterinarian definitely got the sex wrong and now stuck with baby piggy's and they won't neuter him... they offered to take him back and give us a refund. Couldn't do that because hé was clearly traumatized before we got him 4 months ago , he's just STARTING to not be so afraid of all humans.. so now it's another bill to get him neutered because him and his girlfriend are bonded now. It's not that hard if there's a little pointy thing above the pee hole it's a boy.. that vet must have been bottom of the class in vet school

I just wanted to first and foremost thank the nashua humane society for blessing me with my new best friend. Little bit of a late review but we got Gaia from them in late July and I cannot express my gratitude for how amazing this staff team is. You have made my life so much more special now that Gaia is apart of our family. They were very smooth with the adoption process and super kind and helpful! This is my first time owning a pet and I absolutely love every minute of it. Thank you again, I highly recommend this team!

Could not have been happier w my experience at HSOGN. Today I adopted my new baby Mila. She’s a senior kitty and the new queen of my home ? she warmed right up when we got home and has been prowling her new castle. The staff at the Humane Society are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and incredibly knowledgeable. I’ve had cats and dogs, but I still had a bunch of questions seeing as this is my first senior cat. They were absolutely wonderful, and I could not be happier with my decision. 10/10 would recommend and if you’re not looking to adopt at this time, it’s always super helpful for shelters to receive donations, so please contribute if you can!!! Love my new girl

The staff was polite, but became more friendly the longer we were there. This was my first time at a rescue and it was a good experience. I found my new boy, Benny. We were allowed to walk him. When we decided that we wanted to take him home, they sent us home with 3 days of food, toys, and a dog bed!
