There was a line and they explained there was a problem with the check but would not elaborate so I could explain to my client who had given me the check for deposit.

I recently moved to New London from Grantham, and I have found the staff at the New London branch to be just as helpful and friendly as those in the Grantham branch. Katie, Ian, Ian (yes, one tiny bank branch has two Ians!) and everyone else here has been nothing but 100% knowledgeable and helpful. (They have a wicked nice float every year in the New London Old Home Parade, too!) Kudos to this great bank and this local branch; an important part of our community!

Elliot Hale is great for Commercial Lending needs and all are dedicated to the community that they live and work in. A great Staff! They consistently greet you with a warm smile and great enthusiasm. Wow! This bank is Great! Elliott Hale and Katie Paine do an amazing job for their customers and the community, and all the tellers are awesome.They handle all my accounts and do notary service..total full service bank. I LOVE coming here as they are often the highlight of my crazy busy days..Great customer service, Pre COVID they always had cookie and coffee for their customers, yum, so looking forward to that again! Seriously this bank on Newport Road in New London NH is the only one I use in the area!

I’m currently a college student at Colby-Sawyer I went here this morning at 11:20 to deposit a check so that I could pay my phone bill due tomorrow. The New London branch supposedly closes at 12pm on Saturday (according to the hours posted) yet when I tried to open the door, it was locked & I could see nobody was in the building. I now have to worry about how I’m going to pay off my bill + the overdraft that will come with it, on top of work, finals and figuring out a ride home to Connecticut for winter break. Definitely not be coming back here ever again, extremely disappointed.
