Buy your Old Hickory Buildings items from anywhere else but City Auto / Crazy Ed’s.
Old Hickory builds a quality product but unfortunately this authorized dealer is just awful.
I built my custom chicken coop online, went down to crazy Ed’s to confirm things. Discussed options with Bill, and Bill submitted my order. Gave Bill my deposit and waited 6 weeks for delivery. Delivery day came and the coop was wrong. Bill submitted my order wrong. He said he would resubmit and put a rush on my corrected coop and I’d have it within 2 weeks. 2 weeks came and went and nothing from Bill as far as communication. I reached out to him and he blamed OHB saying their system required my signature and resubmission of my order. I again went down and Bill finally submitted my correct order. He promised to get back to me the same week with delivery estimate. No word from Bill. I called again… he was out of office. Several calls and he’s always out of office or was blaming OHB. He refused to give me a contact at OHB directly. Finally, after waiting an additional 7 weeks, I went back in and requested a refund. Bill said fine but that OHB would need to refund me (since I paid in full). I confirmed I’d receive a full refund, including the deposit I paid to him. He said yes but would take up to a month from OHB. I asked if he could contact them on my behalf to request this sooner. He promised yes and that he’d call me the same week with an update. Again, no follow up from Bill. I again called and he was again out of office. The gentleman that answered was helpful and made some calls. A representative from OHB called me directly and apologized, offered to rush my coop to me next day. I declined but thanked him (I already had to build my own as I had to house chickens). He promised an expedient refund. And he followed through (as I received my refund within a week). The refunded amount was the balance I had paid directly to OHB. I again called Bill as I did not receive the portion I had paid him. He said I needed to call the # on the check and never call him again. I let him know he is not good at his job and I would let everyone I encounter know. I then called OHB directly and had another lovely interaction with their representative who resolved my concern and apologized profusely for the interactions I had (though, of course these interactions with bill are no fault of hers nor OHB).
I simply cannot recommend city auto / crazy ed at all. Go anywhere but there.
