I was in the area from out of town and needed to find a mechanic to troubleshoot the warning light that appeared on my 2008 Prius. I stopped by Sullivan Automotive without an appointment to see if I could get a quick opinion. Tom was extremely kind to us and took 15 minutes out of his busy day to take a look at our car.
After some quick diagnostic tests he advised that we are ok to make the drive back to find a mechanic near our home after our trip. He also topped off the medium-low coolant levels which could have been triggering the alert. Five minutes after we drove away the check engine light turned off. Five minutes after that the red triangle of death alert also disappeared! Tom did this all as a courtesy and just asked me to leave an honest review! Thank you Tom! I will definitely recommend your shop to others that vacation in the area.

Yes, same last name. He is my brother. I won't tell you he is cheap. What I will tell you is you get what you pay for. You have kids, want a safe vehicle to drive, want honesty, integrity, and hard work. Bring your vehicle here, and you won't have to wonder if your being taken for a ride. Something wrong and it's a safety issue, it will need to be fixed. Nice part is, your getting a phone call, not a bill, right away, unless you tell him to fix it. If it's minor and can go a little longer, you'll be told! Not just saying this cause he's my brother! I Bring all my vehicles to him also. I know how hard it is to find someone with all the qualities I mentioned before.

We were on a holiday trip, about 300 miles from home and had a minor incident when our car ran over some debris. This far from home we were apprehensive about sending the car on for repairs. We were recommended to visit Tom by the manager at our hotel.

I'm relatively new to the area and Sullivan's was my 3rd try at finding a local mechanic that is trustworthy and like minded. Tom has been great to work with. His business is out of the way for me but, it's worth the added drop off and pick up time because I know I can trust him. I do most of my own work on my vehicles so I know them well. I've actually had one other local mechanic suggest that my car needed rear brakes and were at 10%, when I had just changed the pads not 500 miles prior. Tom hits the work that needs to be done and advises on options to keep the price down when choices are possible. He doesn't usually answer the phone. Leave a message and he'll get back to you.

Sullivan Automotive is the best Tom takes good care of you!! He's not a rip-off joint like some places. I highly recommend him.
