Edit: Changed from 1 star to 3 as Key Acura promised to reimburse the Uber ride and picked me up from my home to bring me to my car.
Original post: I dropped my car off for an oil change, having purchased the extended service package. I had two issues with their customer service: First, they tried to sell me a cabin filter on a 6 month old car. Second, they didn't leave my keys out so I could pick the car up after hours, leaving me with a $55 Uber ride home.

I came to Key Acura of Portsmouth ready to buy with a $55K max budget, but I did not purchase from them. They told me $57K was the lowest they could go, which I initially accepted since I hadn’t shopped around much yet.
Later, I found a much better deal elsewhere and called Rawle to see if they could match it. He said they could beat it, quoting around $52K. I made plans to come in, but when I asked for a finalized quote, it showed $57K again. Rawle then told me the $52K included a $5K down payment — something that was never mentioned before.
The sales manager got on the phone and acted like I was confused, which felt dismissive and misleading. They did call back the next day offering to match the other deal, but by then I had lost trust.
In the end, I bought the same car with all the accessories I wanted for $53K from another dealership. No games, no pressure.
Bottom line: Be careful. Rawle and the sales managers at Key Acura weren’t upfront, and their sales tactics felt shady. Also, the “this car is rare” pitch was false — it’s still on their lot. There are over a dozen Acura dealers within 150 miles — do your homework before committing here.

Normally, I don’t leave reviews, but this experience pushed me to write one—and I’m doing it right from their parking lot. We drove from Connecticut to this Acura dealership to look at the ZDX, but the way we were treated was extremely disappointing.
We asked for a price quote so we could compare the ZDX with a Lexus model, and the manager refused to provide it unless we were ready to buy the car on the spot. That’s unacceptable. Comparing prices is a basic part of any major purchase, especially when considering a $70,000 vehicle.
What made it worse was the attitude—we felt dismissed and disrespected. It really felt like they judged us based on our appearance or background, which is frustrating and wrong.
Customer service matters, and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a dealership. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this showroom.

Brought my TLX Type S here for a rattle in my passenger side door panel. They said I needed the panel and some hardware replaced. I waited for the parts to arrive, paid $900 for the work, the rattle is still there.. even had loose screws. Poor quality service.

Needed a wheel lock key for a vehicle. ADVICE over the phone as to how to get it off.

Buying a used vehicle at Key Acura of Portsmouth was the best car buying experience I have had in over 40 years.
Ian was our sales person and he made buying a car easy. Everyone at the dealership was great. No hard sell. A very low key and calm buying experience.

My communication with Ian was wonderful. Everything was handled via text, email and financial application while we were moving. He arranged for the vehicle to be brought to the dealership from NJ, cleaned and fueled up ready for the test drive. We arranged the documentation, financing, driver's licenses and insurance prior to our arrival. He also had the dealership's routing and account number ready, which made the down payment transfer a breeze. This is the smoothest and easiest vehicle purchase that I've ever made!

This dealership is horrible and I would strongly warn anyone against doing business here. From the very beginning, I was given completely false information about their care plan for oil changes, which led me to sign up under misleading terms. But that’s not even the worst part.
I purchased a vehicle from them, and just a month later, I discovered that it needs two new tires and the rotors are completely worn down. How they sold me a car in this condition is beyond me—this is straight-up shady business.
When I called them to address the issue, I was met with nothing but rudeness and zero accountability. They didn’t care, didn’t try to help, and clearly have no problem ripping people off. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. If you want a dealership that operates with integrity, the Massachusetts locations are worth the extra 30-minute drive.
