I find the people in this store unfriendly and not appreciative of their customers. I'm new in the area looking for the best places to shop for garden supplies. I've been in several times in the past couple of months and no one greets customers when you come in...you know, "hi, can I help you?" I spent $50 yesterday and there was no thank you... just handed me my receipt. I can go elsewhere, and from now on, and I will. The people at Cole's are always helpful and cheerful. Who needs to be treated rudely when you can be welcomed.

Plants, animal feed & supplies, stone, gardening supplies and more. I love this store. If they don't have it they said they would order it or direct you to a store that has it. Wonderful people.

A vendor shipped a warranty-covered product to the Keene store (it was supposed to have gone to Peterborough). No one realized it was in the wrong store and I went to Peterborough to pick it up. The guy behind the counter wouldn't say anything except "do you have paperwork". Kept cutting me off, wouldn't look out back, wouldn't call the Keene store - wouldn't talk to the VP from the company that sent the product when I got him on the phone. We have spent a couple thousand dollars at this store on flowers, plants, dog food, and more since we moved to the area in 2021. I will not be back.Oh - and it turns out this guy was the owner. George

The Peterborough store is awesome. Why? Because of a wonderful person, whose name I must ask. She is the most helpful and knowledgeable salesperson I know. Always smiling and always gives great advice. I really need to learn her name. Bad me.

Very disappointed!! I called agway in peterborough in January to order Pullets for a 2nd week in April delivery. I was put on the list and given the option to pay then or when I picked up Pullets. I chose to pay when picking them up. I built a coop and bought everything I needed to raise the chickens. I was glad I got on the list when I did because of all the buzz about egg prices and getting your own chickens being more popular and harder to find. I did not want to get them from chicks so this was a perfect way to do it. A week ago I called to confirm and was informed that they oversold and she was going over the list of who paid to decide where the cut off would be of those that would get Pullets and those who would get a refund. My spot on the list apparently did not count because I did not prepay. I was given the option to prepay or pay when I got them by someone and never told otherwise. They would not honor my spot on the list even though I said I would pay immediately. I realize that employees can make mistakes but as a manager I believe they should correct the employee and honor there agreement there store employees made.this is a result of improper training and poor organization on management. I have given this store a lot of business and referrals and will no longer be doing either as the are not loyal to customers!! I would do the same if I were you! Blue seal and tractor supply are a better option in my opinion. Jeff B

Prices on the dog food I buy (canidae) are never posted on the bags or shelf. I would like to buy potting soil without having to ask the price of each kind and size. Why don't they have prices better listed?

I shop at several of the Achille locations and its always a nice experience! Helpful, lots of unusual and hard to find stuff for my farm, plenty of organic options! Been shopping at the Brattleboro store for 50 years!

My Toro snow blower's auger stopped working after being jammed by a rock. In general, this blower has not worked right since the day I purchased it three years ago from Home Depot. It took multiple pulls to start, it didn't throw snow as far as my previous Toro, and the engine whined like a dying moose. Fortunately the rock jam seemed to be just what the doctor ordered. I called Agway repair to see if they could fix the auger. They picked up the blower that afternoon and delivered it a week later. Don't know exactly what they did with it, but it runs like a champ tossing heavy wet snow a good 30 feet. No whining, and it starts with one pull. Seems to move quicker too. Wish I'd have hit that rock three years ago. Good job, Agway!

They are always relatively clean, courteous, and usually have what I need. Of course, I'd love cheaper prices, but in all other respects, they do a good job.

Lots of everyday needed materials available here for your pets-feed, treats and bedding/grooming, your plants, your chickens, your landscaping, lawn, birding, fencing, rabbits,... Service could be more responsive as I often need to track someone down to help me v seeing employees dedicated to helping just walking around making themselves available. They do offer a dedicated/regular customer discount plan which is substantial over a longer term. If this store were not there, we'd be impacted, however, please don't be in a hurry here to get in and out in 5 minutes, unless your order is known in advance to you and is small.
