Can not beat the location. Beautiful cabins right on 1st connecticut lake. Moose alley right down the road for lots of active sightings. So many hikes and nature walks to choose from

We stayed 3 nights at the twin ponds cabins with another family. It seems there is a big disparity amongst cabins at this property… both Riffles and Eastwinds cabins are not maintained or cleaned very well. Tons of bugs/insects inside when we arrived and throughout the trip. BBQ grills not maintained. Not worth the $275/night price tag. Some of the other cabins looked nice. The setting was nice and quiet and the owners were nice but just not worth the price for product offered IMO.

While a week in Pittsburg NH we found The Inn at Bear Tree on Rt. 3 had Murphy's, a steak restaurant. We anticipated a nice pub that offered steaks. What we found was a truly amazing, and very nicely designed dining area suggesting high quality and attention to making guest comfortable. The staff was amazingly hospitable intent on making our meal wonderful. But then came our steaks. Amazing!!!!! The best steak I have had in decades. Cooke perfectly, tender, full of flavor. My meal came with risotto, and baby asparagus. To start I had their French onion soup. Pittsburg, NH is a very northern outdoors setting, fly fishing, hinting, trails, lakes, kayaking destination. They had nice pubs in the area, which is what you would expect. But Murphy's is in a league of its own....very high end meals, at an affordable price.

Dinner was excellently cooked, the atmosphere was beautiful and cozy and the service was fantastic! Everyone was really friendly, Nora made our night! She was receptive, kind attentive and absolutely adorable. That one's a keeper! Thank you for a wonderful night.

Recently visited and stayed in Cabin # 2. Super cute, great location and very reasonable. If they could change a couple things in this cabin it would make a world of difference. #1 put a queen size bed in the room. One long enough for the folks sleeping in it. #2 change out the love seat that is now brown due to so many ins and outs. The shower is like a tiny Pandora's box. But other than that. No complaints. Maybe add more than 1 channel on the tv and have WIFI.Rooms: The bed was a full way too small and short if your tall.Noteworthy details: no wifi and 1 channel on the tv.

At Bear Tree is a wonderful place. I've stayed in all of the cabins at this point with family and friends and will keep coming back. It's peaceful, clean, and a great place to unwind. This is one of my favorite places.

The resort, the accomodations and the hospitality greatly exceeded our expectations. The peacefulness and beauty of this resort made for a great experience. Murphy's Steakhouse was equally exceptional

Have been coming to the Glen for 10+ years, love it. Right on the 1st Connecticut Lake, a quiet place place to relax and get recharged. Have hiked the many trails, kayak the lake and the surrounding ponds, just relaxed and read a good book.

From the moment you drive down the road to the cabins you are fully aware of the serenity this place has to offer. We stayed at Cabin #2 perfect size for a couple. It was very clean and bright. Fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The bed and pillows were comfortable which was perfect after a long day of hiking, The location is perfect. We enjoyed the loons on the First Connecticut Lake and watching the Bald Eagle fly overhead. Close to all of the trailheads. Highly recommend this property, I have stayed at another companies cabin in the past and this place is much better! I will be returning to Bear Tree!
