About Deer Mountain Campground
Deer Mountain Campground offers a beautiful and rustic camping experience in a remote location, perfect for those looking to escape modern distractions. The campground is located near the Connecticut River and is surrounded by wilderness, providing ample opportunities for hiking, fishing, and exploring. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, including well-maintained pit toilets and the availability of fresh spring water. The charming cornpopper cabin, equipped with a propane fireplace and solar lights, is a popular choice at an affordable price. Guests praise the friendly hosts, who create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure the campground is clean and well-kept. The absence of cell service enhances the peaceful experience, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the stunning night sky, where countless stars and the Milky Way can be seen. Many campers note the serene beauty of nature and the friendly community among fellow visitors. However, some guests have mentioned the need for clearer communication about the campground's off-season availability, as the entrance may be gated during that time. Overall, Deer Mountain Campground is highly recommended for those seeking a true escape into nature with a rustic touch.

The camp office closes early, making firewood scarce. The location is good, but lack of running water is frustrating.

Beautiful and remote. I had no mobile service for miles. The hosts Donna and Bob are just the loveliest people. Next time I will try reserving one of their more remote sites.
