This place was absolutely gorgeous. First time snowmobiling and it was an awesome experience. We stayed at the Luke’s Lake view cabin and it had a beautiful cabin. Highly recommend. Staff was super friendly. But the cabins water heater barely worked for the tub is my only complaint. Definitely will visit again when my kids are older!

It was very comfortable, cozy cabin. The kitchen was enjoyable to use and well stocked. Communication with the owner was great and check in was effortless and so convenient. Everything was great . Thank you!

I have enjoyed every stay that I have had. The cabins on the lake are very relaxing, and the food is wonderful. Eagles, loons, deer, fish seem plentiful in both Back Lake and surrounding water areas.

Location is beautiful and ATV Trail friendly which is great. People who are employed by Tall Timbers all seem very nice. We've stayed at the same LakeHouse twice now. It's quite nice except the living room furniture leaves one sitting on the frames of the furniture rather than on cushions as you should be. This really needs to be addressed, especially for the cost of the rental. Also, Hand rails are needed at each entrance and on the steps down to the dock, those steps are quite sketchy. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens available for use which was very nice. No dishwasher was disappointing with the cost so high. Overall we thought it was charged a bit too high for what you actually got.

Family trip. Mom, Dad, sis and bro-I-L stayed here, my husband, and kids and I stayed elsewhere due to having so many dogs with our group, but i was for whatever reason asked for a review so: this place was great. Location, cleanliness, cabin itself, all was great. Utv/atv from house. In winter we rented a couple sled basically next door. Great place to be up in Pittsburg any time of year.

We spent 3 days/2 nights in Pittsburg in mid-July and had a great time. The Tall Timber Lodge is really exceptional. You need to make reservations for the Lodge months in advance. When you book the Lodge, also book a dinner (or two) for the Rainbow Grille. It's the best food in Pittsburg. Back Lake in the summer is quite warm (for the North Country), as the lake is only 15 feet deep (on average). The owner Tom is very nice, and the receptionists, Jen and Corinne, were also very pleasant and nice to talk with. Go to Pittsburg, and you won't regret it.Also, the kayak and canoe rentals are free (unlimited use).

The north country was hand crafted by God himself, beautiful cabin for a romantic getaway even if your not into off roading or ATVs. Staff was great especially housekeeping guys, check-in desk folks are super pleasant, can't wait to go back and we'll have to take out on of the boats they have available. Nothing like having a fire roasting marshmallows and hearing the loon calls when the sun goes down. We can't wait to go back and for longer next time.Rooms: Rooms were clean and tidy, bed was comfy plenty of pillows and towels we had everything we needed.

Good central location for visiting the Connecticut lakes region. Not sure about room prices as did not stay there.Chose not to eat there either as prices are high.Might be good meals, but plenty of other places to chose from and more moderate cost .Setting on Back Lake is gorgeous.

Wonderful, calm spot on Back Lake. Just hope that you don't have neighboring cabin-renters who are blasting the radio all day and night like we did. Most of the common areas are shared areas, so you won't likely have a fire pit to yourself when you rent a cabin. That was fine. Our experience in the seemingly idyllic location was pretty much ruined by the family next door blasting country music from 2pm until 10pm. If you're looking to "get away from it all," it's possible that you'll be disappointed. If you go not expecting peace and quiet and get lucky, you'll probably have a great trip. Like anywhere else, your experience will likely depend on the consideration of others.

Years ago it was good. Today its a high end fast food and bar...gin matini was so so and it took under a minute to make. For those of us that like martinis for their taste it was disappointing. I ordered an appetizer of trout and it wasn't worth it...of course I was asked how it was...being polite I said good with no emotion in my voice...the best compliments are unsolicited.
