STOP!!!!!! This place is dangerous. The owner Joe will put his financial gain above your dog's safety. I highly recommend you look somewhere else. Cannot stress this enough. If you love your dog take my advice. Do not take the chance.

On a scale of 1-5, this place gets a 10 for sure! I got my 90 lb purebred Rottweiler from craigslist, when someone was essentially dumping him. I didn't want him to end up on the streets or used for fighting, so I took him in. He was 8 and petrified upon entering my house with an already established dog pack and new human. I was nice to him and took care of him. I tried to exercise him the best I could, but was, by no means, a dog trainer. He was scared and reactive and had 2 biting incidents.I brought him to the vet. The vet told me to put him down bc he was "aggressive" and too much liability. Rescues could not take him bc of the bite hx and liability. I asked dog trainers their opinions, and many of them told me that if he did not respond to positive training that he should be put down. These were all professional, educated animal people telling me to kill my dog instead of working with him and giving him a chance. So while talking to those dog trainers, someone mentioned Joe T. from K9 Training and Doggy Daycare and that he was really good with big, scary looking, biting dogs. I gave him a call. I brought him in for an eval. Of course, my boy was bear toward Joe. Joe just went with it and wasn't scared at all. I was nervous to get my dog started with training that was not positive. HOWEVER-positive training was not going to change my rottie's behaviors. So I had to try something new.I gave it a shot and signed my dog up for the 6 week training. They did an amazing job with him. I'm very picky about who I let watch my dogs. I trusted that the staff was treating him well. Victoria was great with the communication part of it. I was nervous during the first week and called her often. She was polite and helpful every time. She sent videos and pictures of my big scary rottie being playful with everybody and behaving like a little angel, wagging his tail, etc. He just had to get over his fear issues and gain more confidence. They worked wonders on him. They treated him like he was part of their family. After the first week of boarding, I wasn't nervous at all. I knew he was just fine. I can't thank them enough for being so good to my dog. (And remember, this was the dog that many people essentially wanted dead). Because of Joe, Victoria, Anthony, and the staff, my dog was able to enjoy the rest of his life knowing what it was like to be a good boy. [And now I'm crying.]

Amazing! Joe and Victoria are the absolute best! They had my dog leash trained in one session. Their methods are incredible and they take the time to train us humans in a way we can understand. I am so grateful for their help. It's now fun to walk my dog and my dog enjoys the walk more too. They are hands down the best trainers!!!

Wonderful, caring staff who really understand “difficult” dogs. A friend recommended this place to me after my dog was kicked out of yet another doggy daycare. K9 took one look at him, and explained his behavior to me and told me how they’d handle it while my dog was boarded there. We have not done the board and train (completed that through another org), but will always drive 30 minutes away to board our dog with K9. Always a great experience for years.

I got my girl Charley back from Joe and the staff at K9s yesterday and when I picked her up I had to check for scars to make sure she was my dog because she was so well behaved lol! Before going into training at K9s our walks were stressful and miserable for both of us, to say we both had anxiety is an understatement! She would bark and lunge at every single car that drove by and when my neighbors walked by her she would lose her ever loving mind. The vet was another trigger for her we had quite a few challenges. The big thing you have to realize and admit to yourself going into this intense training is that you are part of the issue. I realized this and admitted it to myself so I sought out professional help. Charley is a high energy, high anxiety dog, smart but lazy she's amazing but is a challenge for me. Joe was very up front with any issues Charley was having and called me to discuss what was going on with her. Trust me you have to appreciate that level of integrity and honesty when you're dog is gone for six weeks without you!We went to the vet yesterday with very little issue, they were shocked as well because they have seen her every month for a nail trim and she's always crazy there. We also took several walks around the neighborhood pretty stress free just a few gentle reminders on her ecollar. Thank you so much to the staff at K9s for taking care of my baby and training her so well over the past six weeks! We will be back for daycare and I'm looking forward to my further training with Joe and Anthony.

We sent our girl Maggie there for 6week board & train. I highly recommend these guys, I really can’t say enough wonderful things about them. Maggie is a hundred times better than when we dropped her off, we definitely have far more control of her. Thank you so much!

We have been going to K9’s for doggy daycare for quite some time now. Fantastic value and wonderful staff who really love the pups. Our boy, Bosco, just completed six weeks of Board & Train: we are certain they switched our dog out with another dog! Bosco now has his manners, walks in Heel, sit, lays down, and even stays in place on his cot. Amazing progress and attention to his positive training—not punishment method. He responds to treats, praise, and his reminder button on his remote & e-collar. I really can’t recommend their training enough. Joe, and his team, Anthony and Scott and others are wonderful trainers.

We’ve had two middle aged dogs complete the 6 week board and train program at K9’s. Our 4 dogs always lived rurally with lots of freedom to come in and out as they pleased. Recently, we moved to the suburbs and the dogs had a very difficult time adjusting. This was causing behavior issues we had never seen before including barking uncontrollably at anyone walking by, fights between our own dogs and food/bone guarding. Since the dogs have been home from their board and train sessions, we not only seen great improvement with those behaviors, we also get to live more peacefully with structure inside and outside of the home. The dogs are now great listeners and are not reactive to each other or to other dogs that they encounter outside. Just recently while walking our 100lb pit/rottie mix, a very large, off leash retriever approached our dog aggressively bearing teeth. The initial reaction of our dog was to fight but he retreated immediately with my commands and in doing so, the other dog owner was able to recall their dog. This would have NEVER played out so peacefully prior to the training. I walked away from that encounter shaken but also sobbing with relief and gratefulness. We are continuing to work with our dogs daily and with K9’s on a weekly basis to insure that the training sticks but we can honestly say at this point that the outcome that we’ve experienced has been worth every cent and every day of the 6 weeks away from our furry bffls. Thank you K9’s!

This place is amazing! My dog Maisie had a lot of challenging behaviors that I just couldn’t figure out on my own. I brought her to K9s and they educated me on how my dog is an alpha and her behaviors are bred from her need to “take control”, along with being super prey driven. Before I brought Maisie to K9s board and train, it was difficult to manage Maisie’s inability to listen while she would bark incessantly at birds, try to jump on the table to get food, and act aggressive towards other dogs. I can confidently say that these issues are no longer major concerns of mine. She has her moments, don’t get me wrong, but they are MUCH LESS frequent… and Tori, Joe, and the rest of the crew at K9s have educated me on how to best help her when she does revert back. I now feel so confident in managing her behaviors and feel like I can always turn to them when I need help. Some added bonuses- they provided an e collar with the training along with a whole month of training free after I picked her up from her 6 week program. Amazing. I trust these guys so much with my dog and can’t thank them enough for helping me manage her behaviors a lot more. I have much more peace of mind in situations that used to give me anxiety and honestly feel a stronger connection and bond with Maisie as I continue the training on my own. Thank you K9s for everything!! If you are interested in the board and train and your dog exhibited some of the behaviors I spoke about above- GO FOR IT! It was a worthwhile investment. And bonus- if you are worried about missing your pup (like I did), know that you can reach out to the trainers to get updates and pictures on their progress… this was something I appreciated more than anything. I knew she was in good hands and it felt comforting to frequently get updates. ?

People were very friendly when I dropped my dogs off. My pups were not happy when I picked them up though, I'm not sure how often they are let out of the kennels or allowed to relieve themselves. Pricing was unclear.

Today I had my first meet and greet with Tori, her fiance, and their staff. My dog Chico is a rescue and bit behavioral and needs help with leash training. They were so kind and explained the whole training process in entirety! They asked so many questions about my dog and his needs and really made me feel at home! I can’t wait to drop Chico off tomorrow for a board and train and see the change in him once I get him back! The vibe here was impeccable and super positive! Everyone was so nice.
