“Stayed here while attending a wedding. It was a location on the pickup route to the venue, so a very nice bonus. Room was clean, a little pricy. The staff was great and very helpful and able to accommodate our tight schedule!”
“It's fine, but oesn't measure up to Joe Dodge or the AMC huts.
Bunk rooms - always watch your head. Short bunks, low ceilings, and fire sprinkler pipes.
Truly terrible showerheads.
However, same great food and same hiking-centric ambience and crowd.
Location is more rural than mountainous, though Mt Cardigan is a meaningful hike in its own right.
Pity - pretty much no croo interaction. Barely saw them.”

“Our lunch was fabulous! The crab bisque soup was amazing followed by soba noodles with fresh tuna with Herb Provence. To top it off - the best strawberrry shortcake I have ever had! Fresh crème, fresh strawberry's and mint from the garden. Chef Caroline will make The Van Horn Estate (The Manor) a dining destination on Squam!”

“Kyle and Erin are fantastic hosts, accommodating, helpful, and very deep pride of place. The beach was raked each day and propane for grill ready for use. We stayed in Moose Manor with 3 adults and 1 child. It was the perfect cabin for our needs, sleeping, cooking, relaxing, TV watching with good internet connection. The accommodations are older and spartan but well maintained. The beach and fire pit area are perfect extras and hard to find in the less touristy Squam Lake area.”
“We had a pleasant stay overall. We didn’t need to interact much with staff, but the check-in process was smooth and easy, and I really appreciated the option to check in ahead of time. It was also nice that the hotel reached out to ask if we needed anything during our stay.
The facilities were clean and well maintained. The pool was a great size for a hotel and clearly well kept. Common areas were tidy, and while the game room didn’t have a large variety of options, it had enough to keep the kids entertained for a bit.
The gym was sufficient for a decent workout, and breakfast was fine with the typical American options you’d expect. Another plus was the convenient location—we found attractions, coffee spots, and pharmacies nearby, which made our stay even easier.

“We recently stayed here for our cousin's wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous! The people were fantastic. The service was great and the food was amazing! They got married on the lawn out front, and we had the reception in the big barn out back and it was absolutely wonderful!”

“Great college town location. We stayed in a king/queen bed room with two full bathrooms. Perfect for a family. A. Ten country store inside and free buffet breakfast. Coffee in room. Great value for the money.”
