my car was dead across the street from the Portsmouth store and Andy absolutely saved me on the 18th; without the help with the battery, and the diagnostics on the electrical, I'd have been stuck late at night with no other help in the freezing cold; Thanks again Andy!!

I went in yesterday afternoon asking them to check my battery due to some start-up issues. The girl I spoke with ran full diagnostics and gave me some options of either charging my current battery then re-running the diagnostics (to then check the starter and alternator) or possibly getting a new battery. I ended up purchasing a new Die Hard silver battery because I didn't want to risk using the old one. They installed it so quickly, but took the time to show me exactly how they were doing it. They ran the diagnostics again after install and everything looked good! Everyone was very kind and helpful! Wish I had caught their names so I could thank the girl and her boss!

SUPER BAD EXPERIENCE WITH Advance parts They told me yesterday that they just need my receipt for the replacement of the battery and now they I can with the receipt, they just said oh no we don't that. You have to go to the store that belong to advance part to replace your battery, Iof course you just want to avoid to replace right?I live now in another state and advance part wants me to drive to over there to get my warranty, they didn't expect at all that I have the receipt now they just want to avoid the warranty . SUPER BAD EXPERIENCE

Stopped in real quick looking at options for gear oil for my front and rear differential. The brand and grade I need, they didn't have! Also noticed that a few other things I was comparing prices for were quite high! ?✌?

Had what I needed (DieHard battery) at a fair price. Recommended a very useful battery terminal cleaner and protector kit. Made for a quick DIY battery replacement on my Toyota Highlander.

If you are not going to open until 7:30 do not have your open sign on at 7:15 so people almost knock themselves out on your damn door turn your open sign on once your door is unlocked or are you not bright enough to know this trick?

They TAKE CARE of their customers - Don and Rachel were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable today about something I never heard of - inputting codes for a replacement battery. They did us a huge favor, while other stores may have just sold us a battery, they first wanted to make sure our car's electricals were compatible with the new one.

i bought a mechanical ignition switch plugged it in and tried it manually., didnt fix my problem so i took it back they refused to take it back and stiffed me 60 bucks!!!!! they must be run by democrats for sure ! i will NEVER shop there again

Huge thanks to Angel for all the help he provided. Even though the store wasn’t able to install a replacement battery, and he wasn’t able to jump start my car personally, he went so far as to introduce me to a friend of his that I was able to ask for assistance.Thank you so much Angel.

Drove 30 minutes to get to this store to find out they close early on Sunday nights. Store hours are open until 8pm. Arrived at 7:40pm they were closed. Sign said 8pm at some point someone crossed out the hours. Really disappointed update your hours to reflect when the store is staffed.

Where do I start about my awful experience at Advance Auto Parts… We’ll start with their inability to post their “temporary hours” on the website or mobile application. When I got there in time for the online listed hours, I was greeted by a locked door and two salesman still inside shaking their head. They rudely Came to the door and said it’s not their problem. I returned the next morning first thing, all to be greeted to nobody at the counter, and several disgruntled customers. It took me asking in a very loud voice if anyone worked there for them to come out and half heartedly help me. I begrudgingly returned today for the same reason as normal, they are the only place local that “have” what I need. When I went in today, I was told they did not have what I needed when provided Year/Make/Model. When I corrected them and gave them a Part Number they could not even figure out what to do with that. He told me he had NGK plugs that were comparable to the Denso ones I was looking for. I said that’s fine, he then came back with Denso’s. I said, I thought you did not have any in stock? He told me that I gave him the wrong part number, which I did not. He gave me the incorrect spark plugs, which made me have to drive back 30 mins from my house to return. The woman who processed the return did her job, but is usually very cranky and rude to customers for simply being asked to do her job. Every time Ive been in I always leave thinking how is that woman still employed here. I was shocked when she was decent to me for once.This is absolutely not how interactions should be at a local auto parts store. It is not a consumers fault for not knowing something, or needing assistance. Advance Auto is very unprofessional in every aspect of business. I would rather drive to a different state than come back here and deal with the elementary school education level that exists inside that building. I will never return.

Seems like all the Advance Auto Parts are the same up here. Not very bright, hostile and rude. And let me guess, I'm going to get a response from the owner apoligizing for your experience, please come back. Its too late now.
