After I was quoted to drop my car off for a day, because the work would take hours, with a price over a thousand dollars at one place, I knew I had to find somewhere else. I called the Nissan dealer, and they didn't even have my part for months, but the cost would be $1300.So I asked another mechanic to quote the work, and they referred me to Lou's. The gang got me in quickly and saved me hundreds of dollars, and did the work in 47 minutes. You'll find down to earth employees and no nonsense business practices. “Kevin and the team at costal truck and autobody recently completed 2 sizeable projects and complete paint jobs on 2 of our front line peterbilt 389s. The process was simple from the beginning with Kevin setting up the tow and coordinating with the insurance adjuster to get the ball rolling. They were great to communicate with and always easy to get ahold of for updates and questions. We had a few minor hiccups with the first truck which Kevin literally went above and beyond to correct. I can't remember the last time I experienced someone taking such pride and satisfaction in making sure a customer was completely satisfied with the finished project it was very refreshing!! We just had a second truck get a roof panel replacement, accessories added and a complete 2 tone paint job and get compliments daily. “After being “jerked around” at Lou’s Custom Exhaust down the street, I stopped by today to inquire about getting a catalytic converter replacement performed on my 2013 Volvo. Mike was gracious and accommodating. I hope we can land on a reasonably priced solution and timeframe over the next few days. Better still was one of Mike’s colleagues whom I did not get the name of. He was highly professional and kind. He noticed in my passing through that my vehicle was missing a lug bolt. He immediately handed me a socket wrench with the correct socket size so that I could tighten the remaining bolts (all four remaining bolts needed to be tightened on the wheel that was missing one!). Other remarks that he made gave me the impression that he, Mike, and the overall business operates with high integrity. Impressive!”

“I stopped in to talk with Paul about my 2017 Chevy Silverado transmission issues. He explained exactly what was going on, and told me to keep fighting GM. Long story short, GM offered $245.54 for a band-aid fix that was going to cost $3,000.00. I had Paul install a remanufactured transmission with a 3yr/50K warranty. Paul is honest, friendly, and very knowledgeable. If you have transmission problems, Paul is in your corner.Tim from Greenland”

“My car broke down in Portsmouth this week and I rolled it into a parking spot for the night. I usually get my car maintenance done by my house and so I don't have a relationship with any of the garages in Portsmouth. I started calling garages in the morning to see who could take me and was surprised to find most were booked out 2-4 weeks. 2 Brother's agreed to take my car and fix it within a week, which is the timeline I really needed it fixed in. And the good news is they actually got to it that day and had me on the road by 4pm! I'm so grateful for their service, which also happened to be fairly priced and friendly. I will definitely recommend this garage and can't thank them enough.”

“Not much to say. The battery on my car was over the hill and I needed an immediate appointment. I called at 8. I had to call twice as there was no answer the first time, but after that, was able to schedule a time the same morning. I arrived, and the paperwork was concluded quickly and I waited about 2 hours for the job to be finished. The only other thing that was out of the ordinary was that the first estimate of costs had to be revised upward a few minutes later. Car seems fine; and I was done by 2 pm. Returning to have battery work done next week on our other car.”

“Eric, Jamie and the entire Portsmouth Stratham tire team are great putting customers first and going out of their way to help when possible. I’ve been going to them for years but recently had two major things happen and they got me back on the road fast. The first one was a tire blow out on the highway, I got it over the shop same day and done in a couple hours back to work. The second was another mechanics shop did very unsafe work leaving my wheel hubs with loose or missing bolts. Eric worked with his guys to get it safe, back on the road and worked with the other vendor to help advocate for me on reimbursement and help with the vendor giving issues. I would recommend them to anyone in the area. They go above and beyond expectations.”

“Excellent service and willingness to work with you as a customer! I had a pair of Treadwright Crawler M/T tires that I wanted to mount and balance on the front of my Dodge Ram 3500. Calling around the area, most shops were either too small to handle my truck or weren't willing to work with the tires I had already purchased (and which are also both excellent tires and matched my rear tires). Davies mounted and balanced and performed an alignment and the whole process was simple, straightforward, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended, especially if you want to supply your own tires!”

“They did an awesome job for us! They replaced a windshield on my car. Insurance paid it all. I didn't have to do a thing. Shortly after, we had a stone hit our sliding glass door. They came out and measured. The glass was in when they said it would and in 2 days, the glass was replaced. None of the broken glass was left on the ground. If I didn't know, I would have no idea that it is replaced!”
