I paid for flooring and installation in two rooms, hallway and 3 closets. The installers installed pieces with chunks, nicks, gouges, although there was over a case leftover. They did not look at the pieces, but damaged or installed damaged flooring in one room. It is not complete and a disaster. Additionally they put several holes in walls in the bedroom, cut the top of baseboard, damaged dry wall, damaged doors and moldings and wreaked havoc on my home in general. They did not install flooring at all in another room, saying after opening one box it was too damaged. I ordered more and am still waiting with my home in disarray. Now, although the manager stated on the phone he would help and the flooring would be replaced in the partially done disaster room, he now does not return my calls or emails. This is horrific!

My local Home Depot in Portsmouth Nh decided to sell only electric power equipment. When I asked if they had any gas powered chainsaws, they said they are doing a pilot program for this one store in the area to only sell electric power equipment.
I don’t understand what you would do cutting down trees in the middle of nowhere with electric power equipment? Do you bring a gas powered generator to charge the batteries?
Seems like The Home Depot corporation is deciding what we can and can’t use. I think that should be up to the local populous, and not up to the Home Depot corporation. Sell both types of equipment, and let the people decide what you sell.

Don't trust the delivery service. When you order online they tell you order now and you'll get it in two days. Then you receive an email saying your order will be late by two days. Lying so you don't go to Amazon.

I stopped by this store yesterday. The staff is great! I had 2 different sales associates offer to help me find what I was looking for, and another associate noticed I had my arms full of merchandise and came back with a shopping cart for me. Usually, at this type of store, I'm walking up & down the aisles looking for someone to help me. Has customer service returned?? Kudos!!

My idea of home improvement. The head cashier is very cute. Best thing I can say about this particular store.

Today my husband and I went to buy a microwave. It was not in stock so I wanted to order it. Long story short the HD employee told us we should go to best buy. Guess ordering is too much customer service.

I purchased a brand new GE electric Stove from them, it was shipped not only defective, but it's a fire hazard. It has one burner that goes on by itself, and it won't shut off.

Do yourself a favor and go to a "real" appliance store. The people they use for installations are horrible. For a washer dryer install, the 2 men who came here damaged my door, they brought the wrong hoses and installed them and didn't tell me until they were leaving. And upon leaving they casually mentioned that the connection to the dryer was not as tight as it should be so I might need to add heat resistant tape at some point. So 3 major issues here. I have bought maybe half dozen washers and dryers over my lifetime and never had issues let alone 3 issues. When I phoned HD about the hoses (same day as install) they told me that I could go to the store and get the ones that they were supposed to install. And then WHAT? I would need to hire someone to replace them? They took no responsibility for that issue. After a repair had to be done on the washer, the repair man told me that the dryer vent was completly disconnected. Originally HD was going to send someone to connect the dryer then changed their minds (the person that I spoke with was there one day and gone the next) and are going to file a claim with the people who did the installation. In the meantime my dryer is in the hallway connected to both ends by heat resistant tape that I have to use to keep it working. Buy from a reputable store who might have installers who know what they are doing. I will never set foot in a HD again. It would not have cost them a lot of money to get the dryer issue resolved. I repaired the door myself to avoid this type of aggregation. Bad customer service. Bad company.

Shame on Home Depot Portsmouth New Hampshire Management for taking advantage of my elderly parents by having uniformed salespeople in the appliance section misrepresenting high priced products just to make a sale.

I will never shop at any Home Depot ever again! Apparently the staff at the customer service desk in Portsmouth, NH are either clueless or arbitrarily make up their own policies. Two weeks ago I purchased a 2 pack of T12x48 fluorescent lights. I asked the cashier if she knew where the old bulbs could be recycled and was informed by her that HD would recycle them. Just to verify she called over the customer service manager and she said just drop off the bulbs at the customer service desk and they'd take care of them. Yesterday, 10 Sept., I bought 6 more and double checked about HD recycling them and was again told to just bring the old bulbs to customer service. Today, 11 Sept., I brought 8 bulbs to the service desk and was told they don't recycle them anymore and refused to take them. The woman there was adamant about it even after I told her that I was reassured twice that they would take them. She was also rude and surly in her response to my claiming I had already been told twice they would take them. Even tho' I could have gotten the bulbs cheaper elsewhere I had decided to purchase the bulbs at HD because I was told they would recycle them. If it wasn't such an ordeal to change out the bulbs (they are behind a hung ceiling), I would have returned them for a refund. In the past I have bought major appliances from HD and have had 2 water heaters replaced with ones from HD. The next time I have work done I will be getting the materials from their competitor where I get a veteran's discount.

Would give less then a 1 star if I could. I'm beyond dissatisfied. Visited Portsmouth NH Home Depot today - 3:30pm-5:30pm 4/25/21. Went to purchase a John Deere tractor. After being thrown around the ringer for 30 minutes, trying to figure out how and who in the store could sell me the tractor (and being told my only option was to buy the floor model, not one of the 6 out back) (advertised - all tractors "free delivery") I was sent to the Customer Service area to finish my purchase. It took over an hour and a half to complete the transaction and the way in which the initial "customer service" representative and the "store manager" handled the transaction of over $1800 is shameful and I'm beyond disgusted to have given you my money - only having done so because I was set on the product before walking in - never thinking we would have been treated as we were. Having been in customer service for 12+ years - I would be ashamed having a guest leave in the manor in which we did - and Home Depot Portsmouth should be ashamed. Wether someone's spending $5 or $5,000 your guests should all be treated with respect for they are who keep you in business. Home Depot - Corporate should use this case as a training opportunity for their customer service staff and their management as a whole. Would love communication back.
