Kylee, Becky and their co-working staff are the best in town. They are very professional and always kind. I would definitely recommend banking at this branch!

I go to this bank on a regular basis. The employees and management are always friendly and helpful. I refer all my friends and co-workers to this bank, especially this branch on State St. I'm even thinking about getting a deposit box here.

Refused to notarize for this long-time customer. I used to have a lot of accounts at this bank when it was Ocean National. Over time, for various business reasons, moved those accounts elsewhere but retained safety deposit box. Had a form that both my son and I needed to sign and have notarized. The lobby was EMPTY of customers but the teller was put out by my request and suspiciously asked if I was a customer. I told him I had a safety deposit box there. He reluctantly agreed to notarize the form for me but refused to notarize my college-aged son's signature because he does not have an account there! I pleaded with him to do it as we were on our way to the airport to send my son to Europe for four months and under a time constraint. He seemed to delight in telling us "NO." Even told me that I wasn't supposed to have a safety deposit box there without a bank account (...umm, but I do). I asked to see the bank manager and he said he was the bank manager! Tried to tell me he couldn't notarize the form because of Federal Reserve regs about "knowing your customer." This is of course total BS - he was not notarizing any sort of People's United bank form, we were not moving any funds and being a NH state notary has nothing to do with the Fed, the FDIC, the OCC or the state banking department. No wonder they have this "bank manager" doing double duty as a teller. My son said, "let's just go to TD bank across the street, they always help me out when I'm at school." We did and the teller there was friendly, fast and accommodating - in spite of fact I don't have any accounts there. My mom is soon moving to Portsmouth...I will take her to TD Bank to open an account and have her steer clear of People's United.
