Had a great experience with Anthony and team when visiting this branch earlier today.Anthony helped get some new cards and an additional checking account set up for me. He answered all my questions and was extremely helpful. The team was also super friendly and accommodating to my dog while I was getting things setup.Experiences and customer service like this is what keeps me from switching to a credit union. Thank you TD bank Portsmouth!

The ATM and drive-through windows are across the street from the bank. This may be confusing to people not familiar with the area. I brought a friend and waited for them in the parking lot. The parking spots closest to the entrance were not marked as handicapped accessible, so if they have spots available it don't know where they are.

I have been a TD Bank customer for 15 years and had a horrible experience at this branch with a teller named Marta. The ATM ate my paychecks and my debit card before glitching out. I was trying to deposit my checks in order to pay my mortgage.Feeling distressed, I walked into the branch to ask for help. Marta spoke to me in a very condescending manner. She joked and laughed, saying it was "my fault the machine was broken". Marta said there was nothing she could do since TD Bank "does not service its own ATMs".She said I could file a dispute if I called their 1-800 number. My entire experience with Marta was humiliating and disheartening to say the least.

I watched the two female tellers at this bank interact with the customer before me in a very rude and condescending manner, and so I had low hopes for when I got up to the counter. As I expected, they treated me with very little respect as well, and I have been a customer for over thirty years. The older female teller who's name I did not catch was oddly egotistical and condescending, and the younger one was loud and abrasive. I have not found issues with the other branches of this bank, specifically the two female tellers here on state street have a terrible attitude. Hopefully someone puts their egos in check!

The staff was consistently rude and treated me like a number. The manager cared more about upselling that addressing concerns. Fees are higher than other local bank alternatives. My wife and I will be working with different bank for our banking and real estate needs.

I banked with this branch for nearly a decade and they have always been extremely competent. The staff here is fast, friendly, kind, knowledgable and welcoming. They set up my business checking account in 45 minutes during my one-hour lunch break. I highly recommend this branch.

My family and I have been with "TD" since it was BayBank in the 1990's! Although the name of the bank changed, the consistency of service has not...which is attributed to the leadership at the Corporate Level as well as the Branch and Vice Branch Manager. Since my children were little, we have enjoyed the savings accounts TD has offered to assist in teaching children how and why to save. As they have become adults, they have opened their own checking accounts and have added to those savings accounts. The staff at the downtown Portsmouth location cannot be any nicer or genuine. Although they are probably instructed to greet each customer/client as they enter, the hello and personal touch of knowing my/our names is fantastic. We feel that we can have great relationships with them and that we can ask them personal questions about our banking needs.

Super friendly and accommodating! After having trouble getting the People's United Bank across the street to assist me and my son with notarizing something (even though I have a safety deposit box at that bank), my son said, "Let's just go to TD bank across the street, they always help me out when I'm at school." We did and the teller there was friendly, fast and accommodating - in spite of fact I don't have any accounts there.

Today evening I went to open business checking account at northHampton NH branch. I waited for 30 minutes. I was told to sit and nobody came to attend me. After long wait I walked out

I have had a TD bank account since 2009. Going into the Kittery office is always efficient and fast and the people are super nice My one star is not about the tellers at the actual branch. It's about getting on the phone or being locked out of your TD bank account on line because I don't agree with their data collection of your personal information "all in the name of security". I have been locked out now for a month because I refuse to accept a "security code" to be texted to my smartphone. You'll see that one of these days, all of your information will be breached and you wish you hadn't given them your cell phone number. One doesn't need to give your cell phone number to TD Bank if you don't want to but you do need to give it to them to access your "on line" account from your personal computer-preposterous! They have said that they are "beefing" up security and are well ahead of all other banks which is complete BS. Their call wait times are over one hour to speak with a person because apparently I'm not the only person who is having a problem with them in their soliciting information. Even before this happened, their call wait times were still over one hour as they prioritize the people who call in with their smartphones over the ones calling in from their land line. What they are doing, no other bank does; if theres a problem with you logging on line, banks will send a security code to your e-mail or verify you while you speak with them AND you don't have to wait an hour to speak with someone. TD Bank is not going to do this, they are going to make all of us miserable in their quest to data populate. For those of you who have no problem with this should ask yourselves why do I need to give my cell phone number? This behavior from TD bank is disturbing as they toot "come to expect legendary service and banking convenience". PUKE!

I don't know who this guy is who wrote the review back in 2016 about "fake friendliness", but I can tell you that I certainly wouldn't want to have to interact with him or his company. I actually work for an investment company, but one that doesnt offer bank accounts. I opened an account here, and have been nothing but impressed by the professionalism, the courtesy, and the attitude of all of the employees of this branch. Virtually every interaction with this bank has been excellent. Perhaps that guy would be better served at a less friendly bank. I think B of A is accepting new accounts! If you prefer your banking interactions to be genuine, pleasant, professional, and expeditious, this is your bank!
