We have filed a complaint with the state consumer protection bureau.On 5.3.21, we made a storage/moving truck reservation with Penske at Home Deport in Salem, NH for my brother-in-law to pick up in Stephens City, VA at Big Yellow House Too. We needed the rental truck to move my elderly mother-in-law’s belongings into our home as she is now living with us. Reservation# 79753590. Total cost $588.84. When my brother went to pick up the truck, they were told the reservation was canceled when in fact it was not. We had to make another reservation #79966101 and had to pay another $588.20. Penske apologized for the computer mix-up and assured us the initial amount would be refunded.We were assured by Penske on 5.18.21 that the refund was being processed and to wait a few days. We followed up with Penske on 5.24.21 and were told the refund was processed, however, our bank confirmed that no refund was in the queue on their end.This whole situation has been a nightmare as Penske's customer service has been horrendous since the beginning and we are concerned that we will not be refunded as promised.Stay away at all costs. As if moving someone isn’t stressful enough. You get your money stolen in the process.

Walked into Home Depot trying to get a rental. They gave me a phone number to call that would just redirect to Home Depot's phone number, where they would tell me to call the number I just called. Absolutely ludicrous

Home Depot in Salem told mw to call Penske to.schedul a truck and Penske transfered my call back to HD in Salem, NH. What a stupid mary-go-round. I'll rent a truck from U-Haul then do my shopping at Lowe's.

They over charge you with hidden fees. My credit card got fraud charges after I used their service and provided the credit card #. Never go back again.

Beware when reserving online. They have a cut off time, and it’s not stated at the time of reservation. So if you’re doing an early pickup, you will most likely not have a truck waiting for you. This isn’t Home Depot’s fault, it’s Penske's deceiving online website. Horrible, locking in business untruthfully. Ended up canceling and getting a van from the Home Depot instead, luckily didn’t need anything bigger. Fix your damn webpage and stop wasting people’s time.
