I volunteer at Cats Tales. What makes this rescue stand out among rescues is, that the cats roam in clean spacious premises, (they are not like other shelter very sad, depressed cats locked in small cages, shudder). The tiny kittens are kept in spacious cat condos. They are genuinely happy interacting with each other, and they have lots of comfy beds, cats trees, cats fast wheels (think cats treadmills), and doting volunteers. The cats are fed only high end food, and are healthy and happy with any veterinary care they need. If you are interested in adapting a cat, I would highly recommend that you check out Cats Tales NH.

I had the opportunity to visit Cats Tales. And left knowing the cats are in great hands. They are clearly happy, well cared for, and loved and healthy. The cats have ample space to roam and run. Are properly fed. And the premises is kept spotless. Each cat is neutered/spayed, vaccinated and receives all required veterinary care. They take all cats in without question and will care for them for as long as it takes to find the right forever home. If you’re looking to adopt, Cats Tales is the absolute best place to go.

I adopted my Remy from Cat tales in February 2023. I was living alone in my new home and have wanted my own cat after having family pets since I was a kid and they unfortunately have passed now that I am an adult. Remy is about to be a year old this October and I could not imagine my life without my buddy. He was neutered (which I would have done anyway had he not have been), litter box trained and truly the best boy I could ask for. One note is I did have to advocate for myself when I adopted him. I worked in the office 3 days a week at the time and since he was a 3 month old kitten he could not be left home alone for the entirety of my work day. They tried to pair me with a 1 year + old cat but my heart was attached to Remy the moment I held him. They told me at first I couldn’t have a kitten - but after stating I would have a cat sitter from Rover visit him during the days while he was still a baby and I was at work - they finally agreed to have me adopt him. The sitter mostly disturbed his nap time aka his nap that lasted my 9-5 job, but he is so friendly he always loved a visitor. What was meant to be happened and on the -27 degree day in February I drove my buddy from NH back to Boston, MA. Very grateful they let me adopt him that day and I don’t want to imagine a world with an alternative outcome! Remy is one happy cat ??

Had the best experience adopting through Cat Tales Rescue. It was both a thorough and an easy process. I ended up with the best cats in the world, Blake and Jada.i feel so grateful for them. Cat Tales Rescue truly takes such good care of these kitties while they are looking for their forever homes and it shows through the gentle love I see in my cats every day. Thank you to all the volunteers!!

read on their website before going that they open at 11am and checked again while standing at the door at 10:30am because a large group of people were already inside. sent all adoption paperwork on line, brought paper copy. #2 in line , got in and many sick cats all around. runny nose, sneezing, crusted closed eyes. we we're up next, told them we are interested in a kitten, told there was one left and we were waiting for the staff to bring us in to to the kitten room when another staff let in someone that came in behind us that said she already has 7 cats and they took the last kitten that was up for adoption. on line it showed they had numerous kittens but because they actually opened at 9:30am was told they actually opened all were adopted. son is heartbroken again because of this mismanagement.

They refused to adopt to me. I have ample experience working in a vet office, as a pet groomer and animal trainer who has taken classes in feline behavior. If someone refuses me you know something is wrong. I have Steller references. I told a doctor of mine (MD), he said he was also turned down as well as another friend of mine. So...ya. Something is wrong. I did adopt a cat a flame point Siamese for way less money and she is super healthy. I wrote a rating before, and they had it taken down. here is my second one.

This place auctions ‘time slots’ to be the first let in to see their cats. Obviously the first one in is going to adopt and can adopt as many cats as they want. The auction prices reach well over several hundreds of dollars! Last weeks was over 600$! And that doesn’t even include the adoption fees! I’m so glad we found another adoption group. He is the best kitten ever, and we got him for a song. He is completely up to date on vaccines ( they even sent us home with future ones! ) microchipped, neutered, and they gave us toys and treats and beds! DO NOT USE CAT TALES.

We have adopted many cats from different shelters over the years. While the adoption experience here was straightforward and we love our new kittens, they had both worms and giardia when we adopted them and we have spent hundreds of dollars and much time and effort since adoption trying to get them healthy. Definitely do not assume they will be parasite free just because Cat Tales gives a record of testing that makes them appear to be so.

I just adopted Camilla and took her home today. The volunteers were very helpful in helping me find just the right kitty. I was brought to Camilla and fell in love. The adoption process went well. Communication was excellent. I visited the shelter Saturday to see the kitties. I came at 10:30 knowing they opened at 11:00. I put my name on a waitlist and was told it could be a 3 hr wait and there were 17 people ahead of me. Ok, understood. But what I didn’t like was there were people in the shelter looking at the kitties already. They supposedly could get in before the public and adopt kitties before general public. I don’t understand that but all in all things went very well and now we have a love bug in our lives! I appreciate the ladies who volunteer their time for the kitties and shelter. Callie is very happy in her new home. Thank you!

I wouldn't adopt a cat from Cat Tales Rescue in Seabrook, NH because they don't do testing for all parasites that could be in the GI tract. With that being the case, the cat I adopted has "significant problems with parasites and Giardia." That is what my vet told me.The record for my cat, Petunia indicates she had parasites in May 2022. My vet said she was not given the proper medication. As a result, she has had diarrhea since the day we brought her home. She doesn't always use the litter box and has ruined our carpet. Plus the poor baby has been sick with this since at least May, since she wasn't properly treated. I guess she was given a general dewormer, but the medication needs to be more targeted, depending on the type of parasite they have.Parasites are common, with cats that come from the south,. Petunia came from North Carolina. I have adopted 3 other cats from another shelter and didnt have any of these problems. I would not recommend adopting a cat at Cat Tales Rescue.Sorry to leave a negative review, but I think the process currently in place is not a very good one. All of this information is on the contract and adoption application. I thought there would be an off chance of the cat having parasites, but it isn't.Our only option would be to return the cat to them. I didnt get much assistance when I emailed Cat Tales.
