The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Also willing to special order food if they can get it for you. I love supporting the small business.

I read the reviews and was expecting the worst but it wasn't bad. It seems to be a family owned shop trying their best and that's what matters. I wasn't impressed by the rodent care but it wasn't horrible. They have multiple amazing well established planted tanks. I'm not sure why they have so many critical reviews that claim it smells terrible. I have been in plenty of pet stores that smell a million times worse. Overall a good store. Definitely stop by if you have a chance.

EXTREMELY saddened and disgusted. The fish aquarium’s are not well lit, with half dead fish. Appears one of them is leaking onto the floor. Over 80 degrees in the building. ALL besides 3 small birds are in enclosures with NO room to fly, NO toys or anything for stimulation. ALL rodents are struggling to breathe due to the heat. Very very upsetting and not acceptable.

Amazing guy! Definitely knows about animals. We come here faithfully for our animals food and he’s very nice and you walk out knowing more than when you walked in.

Small little mom and pop shop amazing experience and a great selection of pets. It has a home vibe to it. None of the animals are over crowded. They are extremely helpful and help you understand and they ask questions about where the animal would go and how to help make the environment develop to the ideal specs for the certain pets.

I don't even know what to say about this place. It's absolutely foul. There wasn't a single clean enclosure or tank. Everything was coated in grime. There was an enclosure filled with old food and feathers that was covered in spiderwebs. How long was that sitting uninhabited and dirty to fill with spiderwebs??? The rodent/bird room was filthy. We had to leave, I couldn't breath. The gerbils clearly were ill, I have no idea how any creature exists in that place. And the stock of supplies was so bare, I was shocked. I don't know where all of these good reviews are coming from, but I fear for their pets.

I stopped by here after someone shared photos , it looked awful. After seeing some reviews I started driving over , it seems that the cleaning has had an uptake.Animals in large quantities can be hard to care for ; but that does not excuse the issues they have. For a customer to walk in with their child , and see mice cannibalizing their own children due to the level of stress is absolutely not okay.Yes it is extremely common in rodents , but most pet buyers are not educated in this way and they WILL freak out.**Other than that **The owners are extremely nice, I had an issue with a tarantula I purchased from them and I received a full refund.Tom , the husband ; has his own collection of tarantulas. Seeing this I trusted that I was getting what I paid for.I paid for a 1.5-2 year old female ($100)I received a male worth $50, with a year left on his life and a very gross tank. (Another one I don’t blame them for as this species is NASTY both temperament wise and defecation wise)All it took was a message to Tom on Facebook and I went by the next day to return the T. Very easy going and helpful.I very much appreciated this , and I will continue to drop by and see their stock from time to time. I believe they are putting in their best effort since past reviews. They are very limited with staff as well. A lot of these issues you see in reviews can be chalked up to wrong timing and understaffing. Animals are dirty. It’s well known , and family owned business have a hard time staffing and keeping up just like anyone elseI also bought another T from them. Who I confirmed female. She is thriving and doing great. No issues.I would not give a buyer beware. Just a double check

When I first walked in, the smell was awful. The place is so dirty and it literally makes you feel like you are breathing in toxic fumes. I feel so bad for the animals here. In the cage with the mice there was a litter of babies and the mice were eating the babies alive, it was horrific and so upsetting. I don’t know how it could go unnoticed. I left feeling so sad!!

I go to the store weekly, the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about animals when I talk to him. He is also very attentative to customers. If people on here think the store smells funny oranything else , try owning a pet store for 49 years and tell me how it works out for you, you butt hurt pussies.
