Hours: Philbrook Farm Inn is a beautiful, quiet, and sprawling historic inn, a truly unique place offering a stay experience not found in many places anymore. It is a classic New England inn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, full of character and antiques. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and nicely appointed, adorned with historic relics, photos, and maps. The beds are comfortable with cotton sheets and wool blankets. The service is great, with wonderful, friendly, gracious, and helpful hosts. Delicious, plentiful, home-style country cooking is served on a wood stove, with bountiful breakfasts and dinners included, offering very good value. The inn features a screened-in sunporch, a fine old dining room, and incredible, picturesque views overlooking a hayfield toward the Presidential Range. It provides a calm respite and a real glimpse into history. Located on a large conservation easement with over 800 acres of woodland, it is excellent for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, and is under an hour from beautiful hikes and adventures. It is a delightful, superb, and wonderful place, a great find for those seeking this type of experience.
