Extremely satisfied with my experience with Holmwoods Furniture. They went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with our purchase even after we brought it home. We recommend them and will be back for future purchases!

I ended up purchasing elsewhere, from a brand not carried by Holmwoods, but I have been to a lot of furniture stores lately and Alysun really stood out as an excellent salesperson. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and not pushy at all. I will definitely ask for her the next time I shop at Holmwoods!

This is a very nice furniture store. Thiswas my first time visiting the store. The selection of all types of furniture was available, leather, fabrics, and the prices were very reasonable. The store also has a good selection of unfinished furniture. I found several pieces that I liked, but at my age, I'm not going to paint or stain anything anymore. Holmwood's will be one of my places next time I need furniture.

I paid over $3,500 for a dining table and chairs. It took 8 months to receive, and the chairs were not what I ordered. I never received the chairs or got reimbursed for them. I’ve spent a lot of money at this store, but unfortunately will never buy from them again! They don’t make right on their wrongs. I will go to Green mountain Furniture in the future.

Do not buy a mattress from here unless you truly love it. No return policy, and they do not notify you when you purchase it. Not one person said anything. When buying a bed, they should clearly tell you that all sales are final and there is no returning it. Unfortunately, it will be our last purchase from them. Cannot recommend.

We have had some great experiences buying our outdoor furniture from Holmwoods They have a great staff who have always been friendly and helpful but I’d like to get this out there and off my backLast week we bought two composite rocking chairs. The cost was just over $1100 for the pair It was Friday at 5:45I brought them home and moved them onto my deck. The next morning I went out with my coffee and sat in one of the chairs. Well it just didn’t feel right and I immediately decided to return them and purchase 2 Adirondacks for the front porch insteadSo I had the chairs back at Holmwoods by 10::00am. We are talking 16 hours after initial purchaseI Swapped the chairs onto my truck and went inside to settle upTo my dismay they had charged me a $176 dollar restocking feeEven though it WAS clearly written in the fine print at the bottom of receipt I must admit I was shocked because I still was walking out of there with a thousand dollars worth of chairs. Oh and those two chairs make numbers 6 and 7 purchased there within the last 2 years. And we still have 4 more chairs to buy for the fire pitUnfortunately I won’t be buying them from Holmwoods after this

Walked in and was greeted and left to walk around without any persistent salespeople, which was really nice. We found what we were looking for and had a sales associate assist with the write up and she answered all our questions and we paid and off we went. My wife and I really liked the showroom floor and it was nicely laid out. Nice prices and great location ?!!! 5'☆'S

A few years ago we went to Holmwood’s furniture. We spent 1200 on a table and chairs. Within a year even though we put table protectors under a warm bowl it would leave a mark. we ended up just about giving it away. There are no kids in our home. We tried to reach out and no one would return phone call or answer our emails. Do yourself a favor and buy else where.

I absolutely love this place! Great people. Great deals. Great furniture. To all of those complaining about items coming in late have no idea how the world is right now! Everything being shipped in from overseas is SLOW. I will always recommend this company. We have never had a problem and they also assemble everything before pick up?

I ordered a sideboard back in January and was told it would be in by the end of March. I have had to call every month to see when it was estimated to arrive and I get the same answer every time, “it has arrived in Washington and will be here in 3-4 weeks”. I have even gotten attitude from certain people on the phone saying, “like we told you the last time you called, it will be in in 3-4 weeks”. I understand the pandemic has taken a toll on everyone and has delayed all goods, but I am beginning to wonder if they are just telling me 3-4 weeks and have lost the order or made a mistake and are awaiting for the piece to arrive. It’s been challenging trying to get anyone in customer service on the phone. I wanted ti support a small business and understand everyone is facing delays, but I’m starting to wonder if there was a mistake made with the order. I have had to be the one to inquire, it would be nice if they could keep customers up to date regarding the status of the order even if it is not ready for a delivery date.

I have been a customer for over 30 years when they started in Dover. Have spent thousands of dollars on furniture over the years for various homes and also on wall paper and fabric when they carried such things. This time was a whole different story and not only will I never go back, I have told all I know this story that follows and they won't be shopping there ever also.In January my husband and I went and picked out about 2 thousand dollars worth of unfinished furniture. Although very polite, the woman waiting on us didn't seem to know what she was doing. We were first told we could buy off the floor. Then we were told that they would have order and it would be about 6 weeks. As we were signing the papers I noticed it said no returns after 60 days. I asked if this did not come in within 60 days did this still happen. She assured me it was just a formality and of course we could return it. A few days later she called saying it would not be in until April. Since the house would not be ready we said ok...but again asked about the return policy and she said not to worry about it, we could return if it took longer.April came and went and no furniture. We called to cancel and get our 1200 dollar deposit back and we suddenly were put on hold as the person who answered the phone "had to get the manager".Mark B. said he was the manager. We told him what had happened and all he kept saying was "that is not our policy" several times and very impatiently. When I asked him how I was supposed to know their return policy if their sales people are telling us something differently? He told me I was being disrespectful towards him.(?????).I asked to speak with the owner of the store. He said he would call him and then get back to us. It is very doubtful that he called his employer as he called back 2 minutes later. He repeated that he was going by their return policy and was not going to return my deposit. I realized this was a dead end so I asked for his name and told him he would be hearing from my attorney.Obviously I got my deposit back as how can you return something that hasn't arrived yet? It's quite the scam.I'm reading similar situations in the reviews and I feel so badly that they didn't get their money back. So I'm writing this review. I've never written a negative review in my life but I felt I had to publish this one so no one else will get treated this way. This used to be a great store but I strongly advise you not to buy anything there let alone enter the store. I never will ever again. My advice to the owner of this store: Get rid of you manager who said his name was Mark. He was rude, confrontational and is losing you business.

Ordered a loveseat recliner back in December, told would be in January, which was fine, January came called and was pushed out till March, decided to call this week and now pushed out till May. Went to cancel order today and was told couldn't because they have a 7 day return. Get that but haven't even gotten the thing and it is not my fault it is taking so long. So now I wait months more. Last time I do business with them.

Like others have noted, they have lost a customer and I will be spreading the word about their terrible customer service/store policy. I shopped there on Saturday, ended up buying decor from off the wall. Spoke with the sales clerk about the return policy in the event it didn't work out for the area I had in mind at home. She said, "no problem, as long as you return it in 7 days." Unfortunately the piece didn't work. I returned it to the store on Monday (closed on Sundays), basically their next business day, to learn they have a 15% restocking fee. No where did I see this, nor did the sales clerk say a word about it during the discussion when she was taking my money. She also cashed me out using another customers account information. When I told her that was not me, she crossed out the persons name and told me "don't worry, it's still a valid receipt." At the time of the return, I was informed the restocking fee is store policy (regardless of what a sales clerk says!). I can understand a restocking fee on a special order or if it was a piece of furniture they had to load/unload. But, not the case -- the space on the wall was left empty, screw still there, and I could have hung the piece myself exactly where I took it down from. Instead, I was charged the 15% fee as the sales clerk pointed to a big pile of colored sheets on the counter reiterating the store's return policy. So, beware no matter what a sales associate may say ... you need to review the store's handbook if you really want to know how they do business. I'll spend my money elsewhere - hopefully where customers are appreciated.
