Full disclosure: I worked at this location for a summer more than a decade ago. It was one of my favorite summer jobs and I continued shopping there pretty regularly for a very long time, but when the pandemic hit I more or less lost my taste for walking into a store and just browsing for the sake of it. I've only been there once or twice since, and only when I needed something very specific. Tonight I just felt like shopping, so I walked in and wandered around for a while. Unfortunately for me, I also needed to use the restroom when I first arrived. I walked in and of the four stalls in the women's room, one had an out of order sign on it, one had what appeared to be feces caked along the wall behind the toilet, a third had a toilet seat absolutely smeared with blood, and the fourth had a marginally less filthy toilet, but the trash can for feminine products was overflowing and spilling onto the floor. I washed my hands and held it until I got home rather than use any of them. Beyond that, the store itself is much less clean and organized than it used to be. I understand that some of this is probably because of the time of year and an increase in shopping, but it was a level that was pretty shocking even taking that into consideration. Boxes piled up on the floor in the middle of aisles, items spilling off of shelves and hanging out everywhere in complete disarray, carts full of items just sitting in the middle of the floor near the books and electronics sections. It made me sad to see the state of the store when I remembered what it looked like back when I worked there. I won't be in a rush to go back.

Two weeks later and not a peep from the Somersworth Target "Service and Engagement Team Leader" RE: my questions and possible solutions to my complaint. So much for customer service or "engagement." As I last emailed Ms Mau, Target has managed to turn a disappointed customer into an outraged one. Taking matters into my own hands, I returned the item to my local (closest) store for credit and took my business elsewhere--which henceforth I will continue to do. While my individual action (and discourse) will not bring Target to its knees, I caution others to regard their promises of eternal satisfaction with deserved skepticism.

The last time I was at this Target was only a week ago. I'm not trying to be rude or anything in this review BUT: Multiple times I've given this store my business, get asked to do reviews via email in which I do. Michelle Andrews Mau seems to be the one responding to my reviews- unfortunately this last time I went I had gone through the self scan and had difficulty paying because the pin pad was broken, so I used cash. (Which you can't just put into the machine yourself, a "cashier" has to come and assist you with the cash payment.) So, I handed my cashier $140.00 and she said it was only $120.00. Refused to count it in front of me, and then continued to berate me for "not counting it" even though I handed her $140.00 shouldn't the cashier be counting it before handing back change/ and or putting money into a till? . Now granted this is Somersworth, NH (what can you expect?) ... I kind of liked target when it was clean and organized. Now it's just a big dump. The employees don't care. The electronics section (ESPECIALLY the models) is atrocious... 20 different items crunched onto one shelf. Constantly falling over and just looks like a pigsty. The last time I will ever be in the store.

Really like to come here. Never had a bad experience here. Unlike some other stores I could shop at. There's another store I can get groceries at but the checkout lines are Always crazy. A bunch of people that look like that want to fight with everyone in Line. But here at Target is perfect, never ever a bad experience. It's really neat and clean. The Checkout lines are sometimes busy but it's not like some other stores I have shopped at before. The only bad thing is prices are going higher, and Not Lower :((. But Target has everything you may need. The only better would be if had local products in the Store. Handmade

They are painfully slow. Instead of making our drinks with an increasing line growing, apparently emptying a 1/4 bag of trash is far more important. I get trashed has to be emptied, however when the trash isn't full how about we prioritize our customers first???? Shame on you for poor customer service

Went here later in the evening to get some basics so I didn't have to deal with lots of customers. The staff look like zombies. I saw 7 or 8. Not one said hi or nodded or anything. The lone cashier was so busy talking that I didn't bother to wait in line. I felt bad for the shopper he was serving. I used self checkout. The lady standing there to sanitize looked away when I looked in her direction. Signage was falling off shelves through store-clothing, food, personal items all had the signs barely hanging on in one corner of a shelf. COVID has made this store hang on by a thread it seems. The signs prove it.

Love that the Staff are all wearing Masks. Unfortunately, this store does not adhere to the Target Policy of Seniors Only policy. My wife and I both senior citizens in our 70s went on Wednesday (today) at 8:00am as per their website for only Tuesday and Wednesday Senior hours. There was no staff outside to encourage masks and social distancing. There were people coming in with young children prior to 9:00am. My wife and I did not feel safe, and left. We will not be returning until the store can enforce the company policy.

Only thing good on this target is there's plenty for what I need. But during this pandemic stupid dumbass kids in their twenties walk into the stores with NO mask on. So f****** ignorant and selfish of them. Like they think this whole thing is fake or something. F-u for spreading the coronavirus further. If you ain't going to wear the mask stay the f*** away from me ( 6 feet ). In the Greenland NH store I like cuz there is like maybe 5 people not wearing it but the majority of them are wearing it. I try to stay out of the somersworth NH one lately. What you going to do protest like in Florida my body my choice. Is that why the coronavirus numbers go up everyday more and more in that state. California, Texas, New York. Yet you all try to flock to my state NH to pass it on some more. The other thing if something is not in stock. Please don't put in your app you are in stock. Cuz now you go I'm waste your damn time. So stupid.

When is TARGET going to lose the awful, garish colors which have become their trademark in all clothing sold there. The clothing is made of the cheapest, most garish materials, complete with awful buttons, zippers that do not work or are sewed in crooked, too short for the actual clothing item, or just snag the cheap, poor fabrics. For years and years, I have tried to enjoy TARGET's clothing, but I have finally got it through my head that their super - tiny sizes, horrible, garish muted colors, and awful materials are not for me. I finally understand that trying to clothe an American body in (Indonesian, Chinese, and Indian ) foreign made clothing is not a worthwhile adventure. Regardless of the item's cost, it is not worth it if the clothing items have to be returned over and over and over. I bought (3) pairs of jeans recently and returned all (3) pairs. I bought (3) different sizes, I have no idea who these jeans were made for? All too large, in every aspect, and short, short legs. Above my ankles!!! The button closures were far too large for the actual button holes, so they all had to be wrangled around in order to close the waist. The seams on the jeans were over sewed on (1) pair, so the pant's legs (inside) were scratchy and harsh. Another pair, had a dye job that was so weird, they looked like clown pants. I have finally realized that shopping in ANY Target for anything but basic supplies, is a waste of time, energy and of money. I am done with TARGET. There is nothing more to say about this store. I do not find any part of shopping in TARGET, appealing, any longer. Enough said.

nice location and all, but they have a ridiculous policy on hand sanitizer. at every other target I've gone too, it's been one bottle per person. literally every other one. I understand that they have to ration, that makes total sense and is absolutely fair! but this target will only allow you to buy one per purchase. I went in today with my mother, and at normal targets we've been able to buy two since there were two of us, but at this target, we were only allowed one. the cashier was very rude about it and offered no sympathy or explanation as to why it was different here. this wouldn't have been a big deal if a) it wasn't different at every other store and b) the cashier was a bit kinder about it.

This Target is just fine. There is nothing to make it stand out, good or bad. We frequent this target as we live nearby, and get Starbucks often here. I've never had a bad order (only occasionally a rude barista...always the same one...)
