Great staff that truly care about the work they are doing. Most people are only aware of the adoption services but they offer many other stuff such as low cost spay & neuter, humane education programs for kids, training classes, and much more! Cannot say enough great stuff about this organization.

They charge expensive fees to give you a Healthy cat in my instance to find out it has ear mites, which are easy for the vet there to see and treat , which they did not,, along with a respiratory illness she was suffering from, and disgusting Worms ! WAY TO GO A HOLES! ITS ONLY A MONEY MAKING BUSINESS , THEY PLAY THE WE RESCUE ANIMALS ACT REALLY GOOD. THEY DO NOT DO WHAT THEY CLAIM TO DO . I WOULD NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND TONS OF MONEY ON GETTING YOUR " Healthy " NEW ADOPTED PET ACTUALLY HEALTHY. PLUS IVE ALSO HEARD THEY ARE RUDE TO PEOPLE . IM SURE SOME PEOPLE GOT LUCKY AND DID GET A HEALTHY ANIMAL , BUT BEWARE ! Who wants a new Sick pet and expensive veterinarian bills ? THEY ARE NOT CHECKING THE HEALTH OF THESE ANIMALS THEY CHARGE ADOPTION FEES FOR . PLUS THE PAPER WORK THAT YOU HAVE TO FILL OUT EVEN TO BE SELECTED. ITS DISGUSTING, CORRUPTION AS USUAL.

Subpar communication with potential adopters of dogs. Was interested in a puppy I found on Pet Finder. then sent an inquiry to the NHSPCA about the puppy. Was contacted a few days later by the NHSPCA, about getting my inquiry confirming the inquiry had been received, and that they had a lot of demand for the puppy, and that it was possibly deaf, and that they would send me an application if I was still interested. I was excited, and not dissuad was deaf and asked for the application. I received an email shortly after my confirmation, with an application for a kitten. Wrote back to the NHSPCA, that I needed the puppy application. They apologize, and sent me the puppy application shortly after. Once the application was completed, I received a nice letter, stating my application was received and approved. So, I drove up to the NHSPCA with my Dad on Thursday, December 14 at 3:30 PM and was told by the receptionist that she didn’t know who Duke was. I then showed her the emails that I had , and she then said oh I apologize that dogs already been adopted. Have a nice day. When my father then asked her if Duke went to a nice family, she said “yes, a very nice family!”. He then asked her if they had children? She, said “I don’t know.”. Very unusual experience. Wouldn’t recommend this organization.

Great website! Learned a lot on this site about pet adoption, animal rights, an easy way to file a complaint about animal abuse and neglect. Either fill out the form with your information or call to remain anonymous. Some people are actually cruel to their pets. Take care of all living pets properly or don't get one at all! Thank you for all you do NHSPCA!

My girlfriend and I adopted our beautiful dog about 6 months ago. We already had a dog, and the staff worked with us to make sure he had the best meeting possible with almost all the potential dogs we were interested in. They were very attentive, careful to make sure the meeting was good for everyone, and the grounds were well kept. This is probably the best animal shelter with the most caring staff I’ve ever been to. Except Dianne.I’ve been sitting on this review for 6 months and I still remember how her name is spelled (2 n’s). Do you know how absurdly incompetent someone has to be to remember that they spell their name in a different way for 6 months? Dianne lacks any customer service skills and we almost left without adopting our dog because she was so rude and unhelpful. She literally made my girlfriend cry because of how she spoke to us. I won’t get into all the details of everything she did wrong, but she was condescending, rude, and I can’t in good conscious give this place above 2 stars until she no longer works there. Once Dianne is gone, this is a 5 star place and best shelter in New England, hands down. Please go adopt animals from this shelter. They are amazing and worth taking a chance on. Unless they make you do it with Dianne. Then run the other way.

We adopted our beautiful girl Alice from NHSPCA, and I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Mattea and the staff took great care of us and made sure she was properly introduced to our other animals and that she was a good fit for our family. After losing our sweet boy of 13 years recently, Alice has brought some much needed Christmas spirit into our lives, and we already can’t imagine life without our new 60 pound lapdog. Thank you so much to the lovely people at NHSPCA!

Would not recommend. This shelter is ran like a business! You should not have to sign forms and go through a lengthy process just to MEET the animals. You do not adopt animals based on looks, it is important to meet the animals and make sure they are right for you. I feel bad for the animals in this shelter, I like to go to these shelters to give attention and love to them because they don't have their own homes. Staff is rude and unwelcoming, makes you feel like you are being an inconvenience to them just for being there. It's unfortunate that they are exploiting animals that deserve loving homes just for money.

I appreciate their efforts; they really have their hands full, especially with all the rescues from down South.
