Spent three night here in the "off season" and cannot say enough good things. The inn is warm with old charm. We stayed in the Richardson suite on the ground level off of the beautiful library. You can here people moving around and the water to other rooms at night but that is to be expected with such an old building and unless you are a very light sleeper shouldn't be an issue. The breakfast was delicious and the service was personal and welcoming. We also had dinner at the restaurant twice, our waitress Hope was wonderful and he drinks were well balanced. We were already planning our next stay as soon as we checked out!Nearby activities: Franconia and Littleton are just down the road and North Conway is an hours drive through the beautiful white mountains national forest

What a great place! My wife and I stayed 1 night for our 10 year anniversary in the Nickerson suite and it didn’t disappoint. When we arrived we were welcomed by Mike great guy. He had plenty of recommendations in the area. The room was clean and the hot tube was key! No complaints. We didn’t dine in or have breakfast but all we hear was good things about it.(next time) we will be back for sure. We did hang at the bar and it was very relaxing. All in all great experience and we will be back for sure. Thank you to the owner and all the staff top notch.Rooms: Nickerson suite was perfect.Nearby activities: Great bars, restaurants, and views.Safety: Felt safe.

The good: decent breakfast, bar on site, everyone working there was delightful. The bad: I expected more from the room. We specifically booked a jacuzzi suite, and the tub was covered in hairline cracks, which made us not want to use it (seems unsanitary), and, weirdly, it smelled like fryer oil. The shower was small and very basic, and the shower curtain smelled of mildew. I questioned the cleanliness of the bathroom generally.

Very welcoming staff from the moment we walked in. Relaxing fire in the lobby in addition to a complimentary aperitif. Rooms were cozy and breakfast was incredible! Restaurants and bars were very close by. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed at Sugar Hill Inn on Saturday 3/2/2024 and had dinner in the dining room. It was excellent! The food and drinks were phenomenal and we had a wonderful server. We can't wait to go back!

We spent two lovely nights at the inn. We were able to switch rooms when we arrived and discovered the room we had reserved was a bit drafty. Our room, the Lafayette, was cheerful and cozy, with gorgeous light and spectacular views on two sides. The meals were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, and the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

We had two dinners and a breakfast meal here. Hope the server was incredible. Two meals stuck out as beyond phenomenal, roasted duck with mushroom risotto and butternut squash puree and for breakfast Saturday chef made by far one of the breakfasts I've ever had. Sausage gravy and biscuits. It sounds so basic but believe me it was elevated to another level.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. Unfortunately several of the open wine options were unavailable. The wine we did have was very good, though. Altogether an excellent dining experience.

I’ve come here to give a 20 out of 10 to the dinning experience at the Inn. Well thought out dishes and excellence in execution. What a rollercoaster of flavor! An expedition for my taste buds they won’t soon forget. Until our next visit naturally. My fiancé and I came for dinner, and it was almost as if the menu had been designed with all our favorites in mind. Is the chef clairvoyant? I thought so initially, but then I heard the other guests awestruck reactions to their immaculately prepared dishes. The staff were super attentive and would drop anything for the guests. Solid wine selection and an assortment of craft beer, also spirits available, if you’re looking to kick it up a notch . I can’t recommend this place enough! Casually elevated dining. Jokes on the menu. Actual metropolitan food in an old family room! Come on!

Did not stay to try dinner. Had two glasses of very bad Pinot noir and read the menu, which included “Bitchin' Broccoli Cheddar” soup and “Killer Caprese” (in February) and just couldn't do it for the price. Had our complimentary breakfast one morning and it was... fine. Not good enough for us to choose to eat a free breakfast the second morning...

Our server, Hope was outstanding. She had many tables and took time to chat with everyone. The appetizer (arancini) was very good as was the salad. My husband had cod and said it was very good. I had duck on a mushroom risotto. It was good. I think they have a different chef than the last time we were there, almost a year ago. We shared a delicious maple crème brûlée for desert. My only complaint is that they don't have an experienced bartender. My dry vodka martini with a twist was terrible. Too much vermouth and olives instead of a lemon twist. Didn't send it back because I didn't think she could make something better.

On the plus side- Old inn with nice atmosphere out in the country. And it's near Polly's Pancake Parlor! Minuses are fairly minor: Teeny, tiny run-down bathroom, closed dining room, lack of snacks, and not much communal space. The place felt a bit deserted but it is shoulder season. Very pretty area. I was there during a rainy, foggy time so it was kind of cool, cozy, and a bit mysterious. But it was affordable and was a pretty good place to stay in the Franconia area.

This was the most perfect getaway for my fiancé and I. We were celebrating our 10 year dating anniversary. The food was absolutely amazing… hats off to the chef. The service was just as good. We stayed in the Peckett Suite which was everything we were looking for… comfy, cozy, and clean. We wish we had booked two nights but look forward to visiting again. Highly recommend this amazing place!

My wife and I had a lovely time at the Sugar Hill Inn. It's in a tranquil spot in the middle of the White Mountains, far enough "away from it all," but close enough to restaurants and the town of Littleton, which is a must-visit. The food and service at the Inn’s own restaurant is phenomenal, and we are so glad we made dinner reservations in addition to our daily breakfasts. Everything was delicious! The accommodations are cozy, even though they do show their age a bit. We stayed in the Wildflower room, which was nice, but we could clearly hear those staying in the room next to us. Fortunately, the room has a Bose speaker which we used to drown out those sounds. Overall, though, we felt that the staff and owner went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay, which we certainly did.Nearby activities: Be sure to visit Littleton. The shops on Main Street are great, and so are the food and beer at Schilling Brewery. Loved it!

As a person who has been to quite a few B&B and Inns, sugar hill inn by far, is one of my favorites! The location is out of a small town book! The staff were so nice and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the room was very clean and comfortable.I was there only for a day on my way up north, but will definitely be back for a longer stay!
