Charming little cottages with everything you need. I really wish it was set farther back in the woods but I am very happy with everything else! Thank you againRooms: 3 beds for us, two in the same room and one in the cutest room!! The kitchen is mixed in with the living room but that is the charm. The bathroom mirror is tiny as well but again, it's charming.Safety: Locks on all doors and very friendly folks!Walkability: Everything you need is right there with a gas station across the street and a few stores scattered near byNoteworthy details: Loved the multiple screened in porches we had. Wish it was warmer to sit outside haha

This was one of the most family friendly motels we have stayed in. It is a perfect location if you are visiting Santa's village, ( only 20 minutes away), it is very convenient to Whitefield, Bethlehem, North Conway etc. Minutes away from the Cog railroad and Bretton Woods. The owner of Caroll Motel couldn't have been more hospitable. He had a young son who was around our children's ages. They had a blast playing on the outdoor trampoline, playing basketball, etc. They kept themselves entertained for hours. There was small but very well maintained pool also added to the enjoyment. The room we had accomodated our family perfectly. There was a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in the other adjoining room. The room was equipped with a small kitchenette, and a refrigerator. Our kids had a separate TV in their room to watch their shows. Everything in the room was very clean, and well maintained. Having come to this part of Newhampshire for over 20 years this was one of the nicest, kid friendly, budget friendly, motels we have stayed in. Not to mention, it is a prime location that never feels overcrowded with traffic and tourists. We will definitely be back, and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

The grounds are beautiful, there is a nice pool and a park and trampoline for the kids as well as plenty of room to run around. We also had a fire pit in the back of our cabin which was very nice as well. The outside is great. The inside not so, much... in desperate need of updates. The couch was borderline too uncomfortable to sit on.The beds were so uncomfortable we barely slept all night and everything is on a slant so we were rolling into eachother. The doors didn't shut. None of the lamps worked. The wifi worked well. Check in / check out was simple. The floors were filthy. My son is a crawler, he came in clean and within minutes his hands and knees were black. There's only one a/c that cools the living area but none in the bedrooms so on this 90degree day it was really hot in thebedroom. We ended up leaving a day early and they wouldnt offer any type of refund. Really disappointing and I wouldn't recommend to any friends and definitely won't return.

Makes a great "base camp" for day hiking in the Whites. Located close to numerous trailheads, this clean, tidy, quiet establishment offers a very good value. Motel room was on the smaller side, but had a good sized fridge, nice flat scr. tv, and a clean and functional bathroom/shower. Staff was professional and helpful. Would definitely come here again to repeat the experience.

No frills but the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The owners were quite nice and accommodating.

The owners are very nice and attentive. The property seems well maintained. I stayed in one of the motel rooms which was the perfect size for me as I was solo. Mooseland #19. It had a mini fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Cute and clean room. The only disappointment was it only had a shower stall and it was a little tight. The bathroom is a little cramped. Not a deal breaker though. I loved that I could park outside my room and that the room has a screen door. I enjoyed my stay and was very comfortable there.

There website description is confusing. One cottage usually has 2 queens in 2 different rooms. We thought 2 queens in one room, it ends up we ordered 2 cottages...Also, the heater is super dry.

Very basic. Very old and in serious need of updates and remodel! Slanted floors, old, dirty carpet, worms in shower, screen in door torn, old bed, wall radiator...Did have wifi and hot water.

Cottages are old but cozy and charming. The floors are not level and some doors may have trouble closing. But the cottage was clean and comfortable. Heat worked great and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. Shower is small, water pressure ok, plenty of hot water. The whole cottage felt more quaint and cozy than outdated to me. Would probably stay again

Let me preface this review by stating that the owners are nice, friendly and courteous and that the little cabin we rented was very clean and neat. The owners provided things like soap and shampoo and the grounds were attractive and manicured. We overall enjoyed our visit here. The drawbacks and main reasons for 3 stars vs 5 are as follows.1) the bed is awful. Hard as a rock and uncomfortable as a result. So hard that it literally caused us both sleepless pain filled nights of tossing and turning followed by mornings of terrible pain in our hips and backs. Bad.2) but that’s not the worst part. On top of that the floor of the cabin also slopes to the right so the bed also leans at a right sided tilt. So in addition to a hard mattress my husband also kept rolling into me all night and it was literally physically exerting to stay in our normal places in the bed. Exhausting and deeply uncomfortable. If they can’t afford to fix the floors then for gods sake buy bed levelers! This was unacceptable. For $312 for 2 night off season they can afford to at least level the beds.3) hot water. In other words what hot water? The bathroom sink has a sluggish TRICKLE of FREEZING water and nothing else. Ever. We let the sink hot water run for 15 minutes and nary a drop of hot water ever came out. Never mind the tiny little sign on the mirror about underground pipes and let it run etc. it simply doesn’t work. A literal trickle. Of freezing freezing water. The shower? Moderate pressure. Lukewarm water after running it for 20 minutes. Never hot. Barely enough pressure to clean one’s self properly. Guys if you’re going to have multiple rooms and cabins open after Labor Day you need to heat the water properly. Invest in a properly sized hot water heater that actually provides enough for everyone. Again for over 150 a night it’s unacceptable to not provide basic hot water in sink and shower. Period. That is not negotiable. This was ridiculous. All in all it’s nothing personal but I will not be returning. Nor can I recommend a stay here. Guys you need to invest in some upgrades. Level floors. Reasonable mattresses and hot water.

Nice family run motel. Rooms are very clean. They are very accominating. This was my 3rd time staying here while up here attending the NH Highland Games. Stayed in their motel room twice and one of their cottages once during our time up here.

These cabins are nice. The location was great to do the Cog Railway in the morning. The front screened in porch was nice and I would have enjoyed it had we been there longer. The hotel provided info on places to eat in the area which was nice. I appreciated the staff for going to trim our lights on when we arrived after dark so we could find the cabin. The bathroom was small but the rest was good size. Bit older but still pleasant.

Good: Screened porch at the cabin. Location (central to the Whites). TV, wi-fi, fridge worked fine. Ya Ya's (north of intersection) offers nearby basic groceries and subs (must be good as it draws lots of customers). Not so good: Bed is short (I'm 6'2") and because the headboard juts out a few inches, I had to pull the bed off the wall by 4-5" and sleep diagonally on the mattress. Heating unit is a single blower in the bedroom, which doesn't maintain a consistent temperature during the night. Kitchen has no running water and so cleaning dishes is done in the bathroom sink whose stopper needs to be lifted to allow orts to run off. Bathroom window knob jammed and inserted packaged napkin between knob and frame to avoid having to fight the know when wanting to open or close the window. Closest large grocery store 21 minutes away in Littleton. (Only) one maid service for every 7-day stay.

The property had rustic charm and was clean. However, the cottage where we stayed was run down and dated and hot water was not readily available. After about 5 minutes of running the water, as the sign in the bathroom suggests, the water was still cold. We would have stayed but no hot water is a deal breaker!
