If quality work is something that matters to you, look somewhere else. The aluminum trans pan has an o-ring groove with an o-ring to seal it. They torqued the hell out of it during install, crushed the gasket, couldn't get it to seal so they used a moroso gasket and smothered both sides of it with Ford Grey RTV. This blew out in less than 2 years and they have no idea who worked on the truck and want nothing to do with me. They just kept arguing with me that the pan doesn't have a o-ring and this is how it works. I have a heavily built diesel truck and chose these folks because they are recommend all the time on the 603 Diesel Page on Facebook. My truck has a built transmission that was having some issues so the builder shipped me a new one for a warranty. Instead of having me drive back out to Ohio, he said I could choose a shop in my area to install. I did some research and these guys came with good reviews but wanted about $300 more than everyone else in the area to swap out the transmissions. The builder agreed to go with these guys and he spent the extra bucks to have a quality shop install it. Their job was to swap out the transmissions, change the aluminum trans pan over from the old one to the new one, fill it with fluid and that's it.This was 12/2020. The trans pan gasket recently blew out, less that 2 years. I called them and let them know, they said sure bring it in. I took the company truck off the schedule for a few days, cancelled a few jobs and drive an hour to the shop to drop it off like they asked. They look at it and said they can't tell if it's the gasket it it, they don't have the gasket in stock and they can't do it for a month! I took it home and did it myself. Took 2 hours to get the RTV'd pan off the trans and scraped off all the rtv and to seal it the right way. No leaks since. I asked for them to take care of the cost of fluid and gasket and it didn't happen. I'm not recommending this place to anyone and won't be back. Customer service goes beyond just the first time.

Our Freightliner was down and we needed to get it back in service ASAP. We could not get any diesel mechanic to come out to look at the truck they are booked for months!! I tried calling TMS based on a friends recommendation, explained our situation and they came out to the shop in a matter of a few hours!!! They worked the remainder of the afternoon and had to come back again in the morning. Fixed all the issues and didnt charge for two road trips! Excellent people to deal with, always kept us informed what they were doing and why. Could not be happier with the quality of the service and dealing with the people. Awesome experience and dont feel like I was overcharged! Highly recommend for your diesel repair needs!!

My husband brought his truck here not knowing that after spending thousands of dollars on a built transmission that it would have to be brought back multiple times for driving issues. Being told there was a year long warranty we didn’t think bringing it back would cost us anything. It’s upsetting that the issues weren’t addressed the first time the truck was brought in for service. We will not be bringing any vehicles here in the future.

I brought my cat dump truck to tms after another mechanic messed it up and pushed me around for over a month. Then the truck went to Milton cat where they eventually told me not to come back after a couple weeks and that they could not fix it. Called tms and they scheduled me in the next week and about a week later had it fixed and up and running after even the dealer could not fix it. Can’t thank them enough. Came in under the quoted amount even after a lot of issues.

Would do no stars if possible! I dropped my truck off there with an understanding that it would be done within the week ended up there for 2 weeks and never got a call I litterly had to call and tell them to finish my truck before I get a flat bed out there to take it else wear. But that's not even the best part when I finally did get it back the steering stabilizer was on but without a bolt to hold it the cv axle they put in had a rip and the in-put shaft on that same side slide out off the front diff and leaked all over my drive way worst experience ever biggest waste of money and time find someone you can trust and that is reliable.

TMS Diesel will be the only diesel shop I will be doing business with in the future. I brought an automatic transmission from an older ford to them that needed a rebuild. The turn around time was very reasonable and I was quite pleased with the whole interaction. I however ran into an issue with the transmission after install, the unit had reverse but no forward gears. I called them up and explained the situation to them, they had the truck towed the next day to their shop. The tech found the issue was caused by a chunk of aluminum blocking an internal passage, which was understandable given the transmission was full of aluminum chunks when I brought it to them. They fixed the issue and brought the truck back. All of this was done free of charge, this speaks volumes about TMS Diesel. They went above and beyond to fix this issue and stood behind their work.

I brought my truck to TMS diesel from a referral from an electrical shop. I needed a bolt removed from the ECM which had broken. One bolt was fine and the other was broken. Once they were going to pull it off they were going to check the computer with one they had in the yard to see if it was a computer issue or not. This never happened, $1200 later they replaced the electrical connector and the bolt. They told me that was the problem of my computer issue with broken wires. The issue continued so we decided to pull the ECM out of the truck and send off for repair. When I went to remove the computer the bolt that had been previously broken came out fine. However the other bolt that used to be fine had a nice head on it that looked just as good as the new bolt but once I put a wrench on it to remove it the bolt fell off the truck. I looked at it and saw that the bolt was broken and they glued a new head of a nice screw on a broken bolt that they did. This is why the computer was never pulled from the truck and tested. I’m just upset that I figured this out months later. I just replaced the electrical connector and the bolt for under $150 where I paid them $1200. It took me one hour to repin, probably 1 hr to figure out how to remove. If shop hours were 100, then they billed me for 10 hours. This is why you can’t be lazy, if you can fix it yourself do it otherwise people like these guys will just rip you off.I had also brought the truck back before I figured this out to figure out why my headlights weren’t working. I wasn’t sure if it was computer related or what. They only put one hour of work into it for $100. They tested the switch supposedly with another switch from their yard. However this did not fix the problem. So I picked up the truck and brought it home. Once I started to diagnose the problem I originally thought it was a computer board for the headlights. However this was not the case. It turned out that both bulbs were burned out. I think that a professional shop would’ve been able to figure this out right away. I believe the first step in diagnosing headlights is to check the bulbs.Hell, I’m a novice and just did better then these guys so that should tell you something... It’s unfortunate that it’s hard to find a shop with honest people these days. I will now be searching for a new diesel shop in the area maybe I can find one that’s reputable and actually does what they say they’re doing.

They had told me over the phone a certain price and when it came to pick my truck up it was MUCH more than what they said. Wouldn’t budge on the price. As I was driving my truck home from there it died on the highway as they missed a crucial problem with the truck and neglected to tell me or fix it so I had to have it towed back and have them fix more costing almost the same as the first time for different issues they didn’t catch the first time. So much for best diesel techs in the state. Will not be going back to TMS again for anything.
